Why do so many people dislike her character?
Personally, I like her character a lot.

Because her character in Spartan Ops is just to bully Miller in a futile attempt to be amusing.
One reason “EGGHEADS” I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking. already we get it.
She’s stuck up, arrogant, egotistical, disrespectful, and all around rude. She isn’t fit to call herself a SPARTAN…
Hell, none of these S-IVs are.
I am in love with her

I’d like to believe Crimson are worthy of the title “Spartan”. Then again, I consider my Spartan to be Crimson One, so I might just be bias.
I dont really care about her that much. She just disrespects people. Its not amusing and the egghead thing is getting annoying. I voted meh

I just have my own little fan-fiction in my head that my Spartan is an S-II. Because I can’t stand the way these S-IVs act. All a bunch of meat-heads who think they’re hot -Yoink-.
She doesn’t DO anything. NOTHING.
She just talks all Military Hard–Yoink- at everyone endlessly. Eggheads, eggheads, shut up and get me that evac, saying your working on it is like promising me, ect.
I’d like her a lot more if I felt like she was actually LIKE my Spartan, e.i. in the thick of the -Yoink- and trying to bring her men home alive. Instead she is just some random character that I can only assume outranks me who never has to do anything.
I feel like they waste her potential to be likeable. I mean, in Spartan ops I used a Mantis to hold back a Covenant attack the likes of which only Chief could have handled better and STILL you’ve got her on comms yapping at me.
They need to put her on the ground and make her walk the walk AND talk the talk. I couldn’t have rolled my eyes harder in Ep2 when she muttered ‘Campers’ when you meet the Covie Jackal Snipers.

She seems to be the perfect example of Spartan Op’s horrid writing, to me.
I personally don’t mind her that much, but spartan ops in general has some incredibly cringe-worthy character interaction and dialogue.
they should’ve made her more like a hard-to-get kind of girl. maybe a guy teaser, a hint of flirting every now and then, or something in that area. but what’s done is done, can’t change her now.
I wish you could mute her.

Yeah, it’s pretty funny to me that the professional actors get upstaged by the RvB crew.
She’s a horrible leader, constantly demeaning others and being a arrogant -Yoink-. Like in the spartan ops episode where you have to save the marines she tells them “man up” as they are surrounded by covenant. She isn’t spartan material and shouldn’t have been the commander of all the Spartans. The sarcastic quips and little smart -Yoink- remarks and “eggheads” makes me wish I could put two her brain.
Not only that, but Sierra IVs shouldn’t be labeled Spartans. They don’t embody what it is to be a spartan. They are cocky, arrogant, disrespectful, and annoying. I’d like to think my guy is a S-II or S-III because idk about others but I’d be pretty embarrassed to be a S-IV. The worst of all of them Palmer.

I like to think that my SPARTAN-IV was a former ODST (My “custom” ODST from Firefight) and Marine who saw twenty years of service during the Human-Covenant War, and lead an ODST squad accompanied by two Spartans during the Battle of Circumstance, a world in Epsilon Eridanus that, like Tribute, was attacked after Reach fell.
Unlike all of the Spartan-IVs we have seen in Spartan Ops, my Spartan, Scott Edwards, is a professional; he doesn’t crack jokes, he doesn’t engage in unnecessary chatter, he just does his job the best way he can.
I just pretend she’s a renegade femShep. Same voice actor after all.
Maybe she just projects herself the way she does so that she seems more like “one of the guys.”
I love Palmer, but then again I tend to be more tolerant then other people for the most part.

I don’t know, they show respect to the Chief but I feel like they should know better than to disrespect Halsey, because she is the one who is responsible for Infinity’s forerunner technology and the Chief himself.
Palmer is incredibly rude to Halsey but I can see them possibly lightening up on each other.
Sounds more like to me they just don’t know too much about her yet.
All that ‘disrespect’ crap and whatever the others are saying seems more to me in that as a commanding officer, most of those under her have yet to really gain her respect rather than her openly insulting. ‘Eggheads’ while yes isn’t very flattering I’d probably call them the same if I was in the Spartans shoes. Unless those scientists can also show that they’re complete badasses.
