Almost everything from the original halo has changed. Armor, weapons, enemies, etc. 343’ master chief barely resembles bungies, and the elites don’t even look like elites anymore. The classic elite minor look is gone, as well as the classic MJOLNIR armor look. it’s ridiculous how much has changed. not even the old classic soundtrack exists in the franchise anymore. why the changes 343?

As for everything else, it’s been 15 years nearly since CE, new devs, new artists … Things change.
Because time goes on and things move on. Else we’d still be stuck with halo 2.5

Because 343 would like for Halo to progress as a franchise and craft something fresh. Story-wise, it makes more sense since it has been four years after the original trilogy. Factions and leadership and enemies progress with different problems and that molds the way they are now. Developer-wise, 343 has a different art style. But remember, many of the developers that were in Bungie are STILL developing Halo. 343 is just a culmination of veterans and newcomers forging a new blend for the future.
For me the spirit of Halo CE is still alive. Breathtaking sceneries, top class soundtracks, awesome vehicles, challenging combat and badass Spartans saving the Universe.

I don’t have an exact source but from at least one post it was said that only a select few from bungle are still developing halo. Of the still few that stayed at 343 when bungee left even more of them left since then.

It’s a way to stay relevant, there is no denying that if Halo was the exact same it was in Halo insert number here people would be upset about it. They may approve of it initially, but they would quickly grow bored of the same game over and over again.

All these older guys that played 1 & 2 in their teens want 1 & 2 again. Its not going to happen. Its halo 5…FIVE. It WILL change. I like change, its a challenge.
Did things change between Halo CE and Halo 2? Yep.
Did things change from Halo 2 to Halo 3? Yep; pickups
Did things change from Halo 3 to Halo Reach? Yup; armor abilities
Did thing change from Halo Reach to Halo 4? Yep; a whole crap ton of things, whether good or bad is relative
Are things expected to change form Halo 4 to Halo 5? Yep; 343 learned a lot from the previous Halos, Halo 4, and the launch of MCC
And surprise, things will change AGAIN from Halo 5 to Halo 6!! Woah!

36 here. Been with Halo since CE. Looking forward to these changes. Let’s not reduce people to stereotypes.

Because… no one wants the old stuff. We want new stuff. If they didn’t evolve with the gaming community then this franchise would die.
Man, I’m raging I wanted all games to be just like Pong. Scrub that I’d rather play with rocks, who needs progress, eh?
