I could be using the best active camo and the AI’s know exactly where I am.
On a side note, I just did a firefight where no enemies spawned when we had to defend the forerunner core, which affected our ability to defend the garage.

From what I’ve seen, Active Camouflage works 50% of the time vs AI.
I had this elaborate scheme to sneak behind a Hunter and open fire with The Answer, only to be stabbed by a random sword Elite. He had the weird goggle helmet that resembles Master Yi, and no other AI seemed to notice me, so perhaps his helmet is the key to noticing Active Camouflage?

That elite was a Zealot, the highest rank, which uses active camo itself. It probably has a much better AI.

Didn’t know that. I’m still used to the gold zealots from CE / 2.
To entirely fool an AI you need 2 stacked active camos

Does it matter which active camo needs to be stacked? I used the best one and it didn’t fool them, so it needs to be two of the ultra rare camo?

There’s no difference between the different camo rarities other than duration.
I’m still not convinced that stacked camos make it harder for AI to see you so I’ll have to test that myself.

The best active camo only increases time that you can use it, not how invisible you are.

If you move yes, they will spot you. Try not to move.

Perhaps.
But from my experience, Soldiers and elites are most likely to notice you. Whereas hunters and grunts have a hard time.
