I noticed this back in episode 7. I encountered a golden elite carrying a scattershot. But in the new episode, chapter 3. I came across at least 6 elites with scattershots! So why are they carrying promethean weaponry? I have never seen them use non covenant weaponry before. What are your thoughts?
They didn’t use human stuff because of their religion, they would use promethean stuff tho since they’re from their religion.

Yeah, but that’s nothing special. I would’ve been shocked if I saw a watcher shielding an elite.

I’m pretty sure i saw them shielding covies in episode 7.
They shielded an elite aswell. In the newest episode. But why would they only use scattershots? Not incineration cannons and other promethean weapons?
The Storm trades for human weapons from ONI. They -do- use human weapons canonically.

I saw a watcher shield an elite. It happened right in front of my spartan.
They trade for covenant weapons not humans weapons. All Plasma Rifles and Plasma Pistols.

Ahh I guess I was too frustrated trying to play Spops and deal with a crying baby at the same time to notice. Thank you for correcting me.
That Spartan team what is it, Lancer or whatever… are a bunch of morons… least when I do a mission with Marines… they shoot at a “marked” target, the enemies as well… then on one mission, I flipped the Hog, by one of those estranged rocks sticking out of nowhere, the -Yoink- ran off and left me… wtf? I liked Ep. 7 lil better, but those Spartans, I wanted to shoot them all.

More important question is, why were they all Generals (so I’ve heard. I still don’t have Live)?
I would kill for some enemy rank diversity. In fact, how come the CGI never depicts any Elite Commanders?

If this is true, at least it was just 1 Elite.
Maybe the prometheans gave them those to use, or it’s a glitch such as the light rifle crawler I’ve seen in episode 6.
I saw some Grunts using Boltshots. You run into them when you open the door to where Switchback is being held.
I think I saw a Watcher use the Boltshot secondary fire. Kind of weird, but it makes sense.
