I do believe that the 8 is actually an infinity sign, this is probably to differentiate between Spartans from what ship, if there are any other ships capable of war games. The reason behind the red armour and blue armour is probably there to say the diffremve between popularity on both sides cannon wise. But then again this could all be false as well and the illuminati are trying to control us through subconsious suggestions.
