To my way of thinking, a beta playlist is a playlist of games that are new or have been changed, and its purpose is to see how those games or changes work in a real world setting. Once the data and feedback gathered have been analyzed it’s used to address any unforeseen problems or make additional tweets. But once that’s done the result is released as a final product.
The current Beta playlist has been there for about three months if I’m not mistaken, and, also if I’m not mistaken there have been two updates during that period, the TU and the January update. Is the Beta playlist a permanent feature or will the changes being tested eventually be incorporated into normal playlists after which the Beta playlist will be removed? If it’s the latter, when should we expect it to happen?

Zero Bloom Slayer may be removed in the future, but the TU Beta Hopper will always remain to test new gametypes.
It may or may not be a permanent playlist, but just because something is in the beta playlist does not mean it will be incorporated into any matchmaking, let all alone matchmaking. The Beta playlist originally was to test TU settings along with TU settings that have ZB. The TU settings themselves were quite successful and have made it into many other playlists, and have been removed from the hopper. ZB on the other hand is considered my many to be too fundamentally changing to the DMR and pistol which breaks many other aspects of the game due to their inability to be modified to compensate. As a result, the hopper is really only there right now for the people who like to play ZB, it’s not really “testing” anything anymore. Maybe they will add other things to it, but for now all it is is a place for people who hate bloom but also aren’t fond of MLG go to play the game they desire.

Though I still which they would have kept bleed-through in the playlist. With the Heath bug still there and to incorporated with the rest of the TU changes in some playlists it bothers me. If the TU Beta playlist is there to test this changes and improve them or fix a game mechanic to later implement them for the rest of matchmaking, why wasn’t bleed-through kept there?
