ever since yesterday afternoon the aim and sensitivity has been awful. I played one game and the aim was fine, but the next like 5 games had awful aim. I tried changing the sensitivity and everything but it still sucks. I know theres going to be that one guy that says something like “its not the games fault, you just have terrible aim” but im not one of those scrubs that has terrible aim and blames it on the game. is there some other setting appart from sensitivity that I need to change? and has anyone else had this problem? It might be my game being weird but a friend had the same problem and his aim is amazing normally. any advise?
not trying to stat-flame, but if you’re a silver 5 and have a .5 k/d…it’s not the game.

OP is 100% correct, regardless of his stats. It’s obscenely inconsistent and when the aiming isn’t perfect, it’s abysmal - hardly any middle ground.

that’s an exaggeration. give me video proof of shots not registering 9/10 times in several matches.
I understand that, I admit im not very good, but my friend aalladim2 is much better and has been having the same problem, which is why im asking around to see if anyone else has been having problems
Maybe the connection? Don’t know, I don’t have any problems .
There’s more tweeks coming with the update. Vertical and horizontal sensitivity. Hoping it will help me feel more consistent with my shots. Maybe it’ll help you figure yours out as well. As I agree, the aiming can feel off at times…

Yup, I have the same problems… the Magnum feels horrible at the moment.
Halo 5 aiming is terribly inconsistent, I have an elite controller and have a setting for Halo 5 when the aim is right on the 1 slot and the second slow is a corrected version based of the smooth preset.

How do you get video proof of a system based on sensitivity? If the aim feels off you cannot visually prove it.
ok thanks guys, im glad im not the only one having problems. recently ive decided to try for the halo world champainship, so I did a ton of training to get better and it was finally starting to get better. I was finally starting to become a decent halo player, and the aim became horrible so im trying to figure out how to fix it. Thanks again guys. if you have any more advice then please let me know
It’s most likely due to latency/lag/server connection quality. These things screw with the aim assist.
If tis is something that changed recently, maybe it is your controller.
343 messed with the velocity curves which is why it feels different than the previous Halo games and why so many people are having problems with the aiming. Link below.

I think Opaque is also right in that server connection can also affect it.
I’m so glad that I am not in this category. So far I’ve never noticed anything off about the aim in this game. All my accuracy percentages are fairly decent and I’ve definitely never noticed my aiming being different from one day to another or one match to another. Guess I’m just lucky like that 
I have read several posts about the aiming issues in Halo 5 tho, so please don’t peg me as one of those people that believe “if it doesn’t happen to me it must not be real”. Hope this issue gets cleared up for you OP.
It’s something I’ve struggled with since day one. I notice it most in swat. It seems to change from day to day and sometimes from game to game. I’ve changed settings, tv, controllers and even bought an elite, which at times seems to help get better settings and then it still happens. Sometimes I aim like normal and others it seems it’s all over the place. At first it was worse with the magnum and now I notice it more with the DMR and my beloved BR So no, you aren’t the only one and this is one of the few things I’ve disliked about Halo 5.
You guys just can’t aim.
I personally feel the aim in H5 is horrible at best… One minute it seems to be decent and the next it becomes erratic. I would see what this next update does before I would think its you. There is a lot of patches that are coming and even if you don’t here them mention them they most likely will be tweaking things. This aiming problem is nothing new and has been talked about on other sites as well. And countless youtube videos about it. Hang in there and see what this new update has in store for us…
Ive never had a problem with aiming. I dont use wifi. Ethernet ftw.
