What's up with Red Team?

Since recently, the Red Team Secondary color is now a very bright salmon color, almost like how the old Blue Team had a very light blue secondary. What was the reason behind changing this? It looks bizarre on most Red Spartans, making them look bright pink instead of Red with slightly paler Red. Any reason this was changed? Also is there any hope for a personal option setting so players can view the colors the old way if they so choose?

It’s more for the psychological effect than anything. I’m sure 343 did the research and found that different shades of color can subconsciously effect how you play. Or they just like their spartans being light red.
EDIT: or it could be visibility… that works too I guess :frowning:

Yes, they made it easier to see both teams. I don’t blame them at all.

Its not pink its a lightish red

Its the same reason they changed the blue colors its makes it more even on teams

The colours were making it hard for some players to see them. I know a guy who’s colourblind with red and green. This actually helped a bit, he can see pink (well, at least he thinks so) but not red on UNSC backgrounds. That made it hard for him on blue team as most maps are grey or white in one place or another.
Blue was changed because it blended in on maps like Truth ('cause of the dark primary colour). Either way, it looks much nicer. You can’t disagree with that.

First season of RvsB was one of the funniest things I’ve ever watched

That color for red team throws me off also. I’d honestly prefer a white color for red team as a secondary.

actually there was research done that suggested blue team players are more likely to be cautious and strategic and red team players are more likely to get extremely aggressive in game play style much faster so that might actually be a viable explanation
