While I was reading the update notes for Hammer Storm (Yeah, people still do that. I think. ), and I saw something very peculiar in the User Interface section. I saw something about animated emblems, I think it was last light or something? I don’t know, I have the memory of a goldfish. Or half a goldfish. But anyways, regardless of the name of that specific emblem, it interested me. Not only because it’s a moving picture, but because it’s already in game. If that’s the case, will we be seeing more of these moving picture emblems?
EDIT: Emblem was called True Light. I was close!
Animated emblems are more than likely making its way into the game and the first of its kind is dedicated to Adam and his family (aka GT: thecrezedspartan). His daughters died in a house fire along with all of his things. So 343 dedicated a req pack containing an animated emblem. It explains everything in the “message of the day” when you start halo 5

I saw that after I created the topic, and at the time, the update was still downloading. I immediately felt bad for not realizing, because I thought it seemed interesting that the update notes said the emblem was a tribute to thecrezedspartan, but I didn’t think much of it, at the time.
On a different note, It’ll be interesting to see what kind of animated emblems we’ll see in the future.

There could be lots of different types of animated emblems, too. Also, this could be the reason why the emblems are not on our armor…
