I have Cheetos pants. My thighs are covered with a glowy orange cheetos plutonium I had to continually swipe off my gummy Cheetos fingers.
I had to mute and remute my mic to keep from crunching in my teammate’s ears, cause I know I sound like elephants walking on cereal.
I became a snack food liability.
What is the worst food you have ever eaten while gaming?
Chips are pretty bad, yeah. You have to mute your mic and then your controller gets all greasy. My family picked me up some Wendy’s yesterday just before a game started, and I had some fries whenever I died… lets just say they called me the Grease of Grease Manor at that point.
Most gamer sponsored food is too high in salt and/or sugar. Many gamers are just slowly preserving themselves as they maintain the rush levels of both.
While it is important to remember we need electrolytes for gaming, we need everything in check.
Some salty and sugary things are OK for a quick gaming session, but if you want to game for the long run, the same healthy meals you’d eat for playing sports are just as useful.
Gaming requires a lot brain energy and if you keep the fatty acids high, it gets that energy.
Getting immersed into gaming gets the heart pumping to get both oxygen and nutrients to the brain. That’s another “powerplant” that must be maintained with fuel.
You need a way to get O2 to the heart, so you need energized core muscles to maintain posture to breath.
So… Feed yourself as though you’re going to a track meet and you will be great for the game. You may just find you don’t get as aggravated as quickly, which means your decisions are clearer!
As far as drinks;
It’s OK to sip on a medium saturated sugar/salt drink. NOT chug multiple. Energy drinks WILL kill you kidney and liver when abused (and even the pancreas).
Coffee or Tea without a lot of sugar added can be consumed more frequently with less harmful effects. Milk has lactose and if you latte without a lot of refined sugar, you get more properly “burnable” sugar. Between the fats, proteins and lactose in the milk, one gets better gaming fuel. The caffeine in either coffee or tea can help with cognitive functions like one intends with energy drinks BUT one is not consuming them at an overdose level where the body’s organs are overworking to stay alive WHILE trying to do what the brain wants.
Anything that leaves a greasy residue shine on the controller, It drives me crazy when im blinded from the reflection of light beaming off the controller,You almost half to run the thing through the dishwasher to clean it off.
