Mine would have to be either being able to move around in armor lock in Halo Reach or unarmed elites in Halo 3
I remember on my very first playthrough of Halo: Reach, the game spawned another Emile. So on the final mission I had two Emile’s following and fighting with me. I have never been able to replicate the glitch.
Playing swat on Reach, I believe this was due to some severe lag, I was killed but instead of respawning the camera went into a weird mode like it was above my head (except my head was on the ground obviously because I was dead) and I could still spin it around but nothing else. Also I still had a targeting reticle except it was just the small x as if I were unarmed. This has happened a few times, the first time being on the glass floor off the break room on Sword Base. After the game ended the first time it happened I went into theater to check it out and what it showed was my body essentially cut in half and just lying there, although I don’t think other players could see me. I have a screenshot of it too. Really strange that one, but as I said, probably due to lag.

I’ve experienced something like that too, but I also assumed it was just lag. Any chance I could see the screenshot when you were cut in half? I’ve never heard that one before, and it seems really interesting.

It seems like almost every glitch people have seen has come from Halo: Reach. Amazing game, just some odd encounters time to time.
I’d say this one. I don’t even know what that was and wasn’t the first time either as it happened to me before in the second mission “Halo”.
A flying Scorpion

It did that the entire game through all the missions?

No, just on the final mission, before the Drone encounter. I sprinted on ahead and instead of despawning and respawning Emile, the game decided to create another one.
That’s a toss up between Halo 3 on the level with all the tanks and you fight the scarab. The physics went crazy and the UNSC tanks could fire as fast as the snipe rifle and sent whatever they hit flying and negated their gravity.
The other time being on the MCC games and all the characters go black including the ordinance.

The Flying Dumpster was always my favourite glitch. It’s hilarious to see in action, and even more hilarious when it actually works out in your favour by getting you onto the Scarab. A friend and I once got the dumpster wedged into the cargo bay of the Scarab, to the point where we couldn’t get out. A second friend blew up the Scarab to get us out, and we actually survived the blast stuck in the dumpster. I seriously hope something like this comes back in Infinite.
As for random glitches:
I once hijacked a Revenant during a game on Hemorrhage just as a teammate blew it up with a Wraith, but instead of dying, I wound up seated on the front half of the destroyed Revenant. I was able to drive around and even boost, plus the hitbox was still the same, though I had no weapon and teammates couldn’t ride with me. I also couldn’t get out, so I just went on a splatter spree (got 13 or 14 kills) until someone finally sniped me out.
Another time I was playing Infection on Sword Base in Reach. The game was rather laggy, but still playable. I was sniping with a Magnum when I got stabbed by a zombie, and the announcer said “New zombie!”, however, I didn’t die immediately. Upon being stabbed, my Spartan proceeded to drop the Magnum on the ground and pull out the Shotgun, and my colours switched to zombie colours. I was also given an Energy Sword, but I couldn’t switch to it, and I also lost my shields. Through all of this I remained alive and I was able to see the tags of both teams, as if I was some kind of double agent. This lasted about 20 seconds before the game caught up and just killed me, putting me firmly on the zombie team. Lag does some very strange things.

I have been trying to replicate it for ten years, lol. It has only ever happened that one time.

well maybe it’ll be my lucky day lol
Once, in Halo 2 (OG Disc on OG Xbox )
A friend and I were doing split screen on one of the last levels…Quarantine Zone. When we or to the gondola at the end, I fell through the gondola in this weird invisible hole. My friend stepped in the same spot, but didn’t fall. And I stepped there again, and fell again. Odd huh? He joked it was because I had been killing allies the whole game lmao.
