What's the timetable for rushing

So a team I played attacked at 6 mins both games,is this considered a rush or is 5 mins and under considered a rush?

A rush (to me) is a very early all-in strat like the barracks 1st marines+flamers build. If stopped, the player is basically screwed because he has no economy to fall back on and you can just out-produce him and win. By 6 mins a player will have a solid economy, so no that’s not a rush. That’s a timing attack.

2:30 is when you will start to get hit
your welcome

A real rush is an all-in tactic that aims to either kill your opponent outright or do enough economic damage that it justifies your own investment into the rush. There seems to be a misconception that early game skirmishes and getting map control are considered rushing your opponent for some reason. Honestly, past the 3-4 minute mark every other move onto your base is probably just a timing attack revolving around certain upgrades and leader abilities.
