Mine is self explanatory, my tag is ‘HIPI’… I do it so when my team calls out even in random public matches they will know who they are calling out to without having to remember anything other than my name.
Ill type the story of my service tag…
Once upon a time my mother gave birth to me and she and my father decided to name me Christopher.
I named my Xbox Live gamertag CHRISJ1360 almost a decade ago and after the One was released I changed it to CHRISPOCALYP5E.
Because of the inspiration of Halo campaign characters having their name over their heads I decided to change the ‘UNSC’ service tag to CHRS (short for Chris) so everyone can identify me.

Mine is 8BBQ. There’s a two part story behind my tag.
Back in the days of Reach, I was playing with a buddy of mine in an Invasion lobby. I hopped in a Scorpian and rolled out to help, and it was my first attempt to use a tank in that game. We were defending and our second point was being attacked. I roll up to the point, fire one shot into the building, and get a killtacular. Amidst my cheering and excitement, I failed to see the sole survivor of their team sighting in with a Splaser. I died in a blaze of multikill glory and burned armor. I only had 15 seconds worth of time in the tank before a specatular end. My buddy said I “barbequed before getting barbequed” and he started calling me Barbeque. Its been my call sign ever since.
As a happy coincidence, I also love barbequed food, so 8BBQ really fits. I used to do a lot of WW2 warplane designations in the Halo 3 days (P51, B17, etc), but BBQ and it’s varients have stuck fast because of the story.
First and last initial and my favorite number. Funny thing is my favorite number is because of my favorite football player Jason Taylor who I just happen to share the same initials with.

Mine is “DDCT”. It stands for Didact, and I have it because two things. One, I’m fascinated with the Forerunners and their society. Two, I’m leading a new Forerunner Empire. Previously, however, I was known as LUCK. As you may guess, I considered myself really lucky at times.
My service tag is APLO because it is short for Apollo the clan and Spartan Company I am in.
I used to always have G71 as my service tag since Halo 3, but APPARENTLY its “too short” for Halo 5 so i had to change it to Peng !!! Oh surprise.
