Whats the right K/D?

> all my playlists by themselves are above 2.0 except grifball which is 1.6 :frowning:

Are you mainly a 4v4 slayer person, or 8v8? If the former, then you’re pretty damn good.

I have a 1.09 K/D and I am pretty proud of it.

W/L is even worse, doesnt mean much at all without a ranking system. So the k/d is more up to you and not so dependent on your bad teammates.

No W/L isn’t good either, no, not in this game. But neither is K/D and shouldn’t be a symbol of how good you are.

So a guy playing only throwdown, with a K/D of 2.00 would be worse than a player playing Action Sack with a K/D of 2.50 with people only running backwards at you?

Well you are right but i play actual slayer 4v4 or 8v8 not camp on objective and rack up kills

If you know what you’re doing, then even 8v8 slayer is an incredibly easy gametype to rack up kills on.

I pretty much only play CTF and BTB.

Slayer K/D: 1.41

CTF K/D: 1.28

My overall K/D is 1.33

> I have a 1.09 K/D and I am pretty proud of it.

Right on,

Mine is 1.18 playing BTB exclusively and always concerned with my team’s victory.

When I started playing Halo 4 I went into the first MLG playlist alone (Can’t recall what the playlist was called). I jammed my K/D to 1.60 and lost a lot. Afterwards I started to dislike the playlist because there were many problems with it so I went to Infinity Slayer and Dominion instead. Slowly but surely my K/D started to advance to over 1.80+. The last times I have played Halo 4 with friends, I have had a constant K/D of over 2.80 (Daily). If I started out playing with my good friends, and actually tried to achieve a good (as in number) K/D I could probably get it be around 3-5.

Therefore, out of my experience I would say that K/D is purely decided (within your skill range) by who you play with, who you play against, and what playlist you play.

Anything greater than 1.0

So long as you’re killing more people than they’re killing you, then you’re in pretty good shape in my book.

im an overall 1.55 with 1.54 slayer and i find most people with 2.0+ kd’s usually arent that good and just boosted their stats

win loss is a little more accurate but still not perfect… mines at 60% and i usually go in alone instead of with pals so it could be higher but meh good enough

Mine is 2.01 in slayer and 1.85 overall. The overall k/d should be lower if you play the objective playlists right. I usually play offense, so naturally I die a little more.

In Halo 3 I think my k/d was like a 1.1 or something like that, but that was a long time ago, and I play differently now. Anything above a 1 is good in my book.

Anything over 1.0 is good. As long as your not negative your having a positive impact on your team (on average).

Personally, I’m over 4, I have over 400 slayer games (slayer kd > 3.5).

I’ve always felt that if my team gives me a chance to win the game, i’ll win it for them.

The only important stats are the ones you leave in the post game lobby. (In real matches)

I had a friend tell me how his buddy had an even better K/D than me. I honestly didn’t care, but he insisted I meet him. We eventually played a game together, without me realizing it. After the game, I checked his friends stats and realized it was his friend with the 4.5 kd. He went 3-10 in a game of slayer.

Not necessarily true. I never stay in the same spot, and don’t camp either… I’m not saying I’m really good, but I didn’t boost to get to 2.

Win % is just as useless stat, JIP/

For people who play mostly Slayer variants, a K/D of greater than unity is all that matters.

For objective, who cares. As long as you’re putting in effort to get the objective and win the game - and aren’t just running around like a headless chicken - you’re OK in my book.

my slayer K/D is over 2.0 so that’s fine by me grifball and CTF bring me down because i actually go for the objective

> K/D doesn’t matter all. A K/D isn’t good. K/D is based on who you have on your team, and who you play against, and what playlist you are playing.

> A 2.00 K/D could easily be better than a 3.00+ K/D or the other way around.

> If you look at the K/D purely as a number, and exclude all things which have made you get it. I would say 2.50+ K/D. Remember, it still doesn’t matter, and says nothing about how good you are as a player.

For me, the only relevant result, always, is the one at the end of each individual game. That tells me all I need to know at that given moment.

Over 9000. But in all seriousness. I have a 2.4 overall and a 2.7? in slayer mode. I don’t care about your KD, as long as we win as a team lol. The thing I am really proud of us that I have more assists than deaths.

I have maintained a K/D of over 1.40 since I started playing which I am pretty proud of. Does custom games count toward your K/D? I fool around in RACETRACKS alot so I was just wondering…
