Titanfall 2 fulfilled the request for button mapping fairly quickly what is halo 5’s excuse.

Messes with other stuff though. Like other games, menus for scrolling left and right, and backing out and accept.
Not to mention how more user friendly in game mapping is, The length it takes to complete a mapping set up is so much easier in game it takes seconds to do but with the app it can take hours cause simple swapping buttons is easy but if you are say shuffling 3 or more it becomes harder. I have 5 buttons that need shuffled for a set up that doesn’t interfere with the menus too much. It’s not even the set up I want but it’s the one I settled for.
I’m sick of it now I want to change it but it’s not really feasible if I want to keep playing halo.
It doesn’t really need much tweaking… Getting an Elite controller to duplicate an input or two on a paddle, in some cases, can be a HUGE benefit though.

My tweaks are for having all the benefits of claw but not actaully using claw or paddles.

Yeeahh, there are a little too many inputs in this game for that to (probably) work properly…
An other issue is mapping that works with the Spartans isn’t good for vehicles because they aren’t seperated in the same way as menus.
They have to save it for H6 so they’ll have one more ohhh/ahhh feature.
Same can be said for toggle ads it’s available on one button set up but not freely available on others.

Well I’m able to have it set up that I only need to go to yxba for reload, switch weapon, sprint, and crouch. Buttons that get pushed a low ammount of times compared to others, or is not hindered really by taking my thumb off sticks.
I have a controller with the wheels but the inputs aren’t very smooth feeling to use for things that are useful in the way paddles probably are. I reserved it for holding down crouch and testing having one set for boarding so I can board and turn. But all this is set for what’s right on Spartan movement only.

It only has 1 and like I said it takes too long to reset it back and forth.

Sounds like you need an Elite controller. You can switch between 2 saved profiles with the flip of a button. I use one layout for Halo and one for COD, works perfectly.

I don’t want to shell out the money for one of those. The controllers don’t last very long either on Xbox one.
Problem is mapping out side the game isn’t good for different things in game that have their own controls for mapping to be effective it’s needed in game for each of them (Spartan and vehicles) but obviously not the UI.
