Jk I did. Having playable Elites in Infinite would completely screw up their monetized Spartan armor system. Maybe one day we’ll get and “Elite” armor core in a fracture event, but I’m thinking that’s 3-4 years down the line assuming this game is still successful at that point.
That really isn’t a comparable analogy. It’s a hurdle to be sure, but one more akin to needing new tires. Thing is, the most important things, they already have from the campaign, like run cycles, idles, and weapon holding animations. They just need new ones for, like, vehicles or weapons they don’t use in the campaign.
IN ANY CASE, HOWEVER…
the biggest hurdles involved are NOT with implementing elites as an armor core. It is just with implementing elites IN GENERAL. Something they managed in the past, and us elite fans would like to ask them to manage for infinite.
Implementing them as an armor core would be the most friendly option for monetization.
I’m willing to bet elites will come back as an armour core sometime in the next 10 years.
