Halo 5 matchmaking was working today, and I was playing some BTB when I had an -Yoink- teammate betray me for the sniper. Fine. Whatever. People are idiots. Anyhow he gets assassinated and didn’t get any kills, and apparently takes out his frustration on me. Betrayed me THREE TIMES total. Not once did I get the option to boot him.
Usually if I teamkill twice (only happened once or twice, accidentally Banshee bombed too close to friendly warthog that was weakened) I’m booted. What the heck? I’m pissed because I had a Rampage going the first time he teamkilled.
It’s certainly a strange world, isn’t it? Even now, I’m as much puzzled as you.
Got triple betrayed in arena and no option to boot either. Not sure how it works but I hope 343 fixes it soon.

I do however hope it’s not like Reach where you betray once and you’re auto-booted.
Yeah me neither, I don’t know how the booting system works. Very inconsistent.
You definitely want to make sure you report the betrayer. In my experience, a couple of times I thought I was betrayed, but when I watch the footage, it is not a betrayal.

I checked the feed, I was definitely betrayed. I reported him for “unsporting behavior” seeinas he killed me over a power weapon.
Just played some WZFF and got the option to boot after a teammate splattered me and one other guy (who booted him). So I guess you get the boot option if you and at least one other get betrayed in a short time, in WZ at least. Still don’t know if that applies to arena though.
Well that seriously sucks dude, I would be furious if that happened to me.

There are a few times when I’m taking damage from an enemy but then a friendly splatters me etc., it’s not counted as a betrayal. The enemy gets the kill thank you very much devs and I don’t get to boot the friendly ally who is now t-bagging me.
I’ve been saying it since 3, the boot option needs to show up the first time you get betrayed. Don’t care if it’s an accident it just needs to show up at least.

It’s nice to have the option but it will get abused. I say the second time but it’s bad enough when you have no idea even if you will get the chance to boot.

Yo, monitors were are you? We actually got something important here. You know, you guys are all too quick to jump right on people who either have really good points, or you just don’t agree with or understand and slap their wrists over it. But when it comes to actual posts like this you guys are nowhere to be found. Please, for the love of Peat at least look at this thread?

It’s mainly to boot the people who betray for the power weapons the first time. I was all for a 2nd time but I didn’t think people still betrayed over nonsense.
