What's the point?

So, recently I finally unlocked all the REQs and I thought I’d have a go at using some of the mythic weapons. This was a mistake. The first time I called in Prophets’ Bane, some -Yoink- kept following me and spartan charging me, so that I’d get seen by the enemy. Barely 2 kills in with it and I was killed because of it. Last game, I decided to call in Nornfang and another -Yoink- kept spartan charging me and getting in the way of my shot. Just when I thought he had gone away, I took aim at an enemy and fired, and he thrusted right in front of the shot making me kill myself. I then watched him take my Nornfang and -Yoink!- me. Although I managed to splatter him to recover it shortly after, it was too late and he had run it almost dry. This shouldn’t bother me as much as it does, but I just can’t help it. I spent ages getting all the REQs and getting to a point where I felt comfortable actually calling in mythics and this is my reward? I reported both players after each game, but I still can’t shake the feeling that it was pointless and won’t come to anything. I honestly wish there was more you could do. It seems unless someone outright breaks the game, they can do whatever they want. Now I’m wondering whether it’s even worth calling in mythics again.

People are feeling jelly at you for having badass weapon so they’ll do anything to get it. So yeah I’ll report I if we’re you and you probably want to get in with a organise team so this won’t happen again.

I mean what’s there to say, people are jerks. My advice, get ice cream and pretend that it’s not eating away at you

It’s the struggle of Halo it’s been a thing since the beginning with 2 and etc. I would like to see 343 implement a player boot system for your team so if someone is trolling you can vote to kick (only on your team)

The mythic weapons are sort a risk reward system. You risk losing them, but you also have the chance of destroying the enemy team. Personally I’ve called a lot of mythic weapons and I don’t really see people trying to take them all that often. Sure its happened once or twice, but certainly not to the point that I don’t call them in. I encourage you to try them again. There’s no point in letting them collect dust in your inventory.

This is a great idea! but it can also cause more trolling for example a group of people go into a game and troll, if you vote to kick they either don’t vote or kick you.

I would say try to find a couple of people to play with so if you get someone trolling you, your teammates can either troll him back or get them off your back.

But then you have one less teammate

To be honest he wasn’t much of a teammate in the first place. More like dead weight

I hate those kinds of people.

But that’s the problem with the REQ system. It often leaves you feeling ripped off for one reason or another.

I’ve unlocked everything for a while now, and I’m still scared of getting it taken from me instantly. That’s why I’m really cautious with whatever I have. I hide, always check my radar, I look behind myself every once in a while which has saved my butt a few times.

I unlocked the prophets bane way back around launch. And I used it for the first time just the other day. I got 3 kills with it before I died. My reqs literally stack up. I normally just use the weaker reqs 1-4 normally. Those higher energy level reqs I rarely use.

I wish there was some sort of refund if you only got use like say 25% of your weapon before you died or before the match ended, the req system would refund you. Sounds like a complicated task however. Probably won’t be possible for Halo 5. Maybe Halo 6.

But yeah… there’s always those jerk players that show they’re “better” than you and walk off with the weapon you worked so hard to get. Just kind of how it is though the majority of the time. I try not to let it bother me.

If you let the griefers change how you play, they win.

You’re always a target when using certain mythics. I’ve tried going on the roofs of garage to avoid players with my nornfangs only to then get banshees trying to splatter me. Good news is not everyone is a -Yoink- so you’ll get your chance to use them. Just stay out of the open when using them.

That’s one reason why I don’t play warzone personally. I also have all the REQs and ha e had that happen before.

If for some reason I need to play warzone, I always go in with a team so I don’t have to worry about griefers.

I have never been trolled for a mythic, in over 2,500 WZ games. Report the player on XBL. What I can say about mythics, is that usually there is a learning curve, and you get better the more you use them. The second time you call in PB you will get more kills.

I sort of feel like what you’re saying is, “If a kid pees in the pool and I get out then he’s won.” But from where I’m standing he’s pretty much won either way.

Just use the reqs. Rather use em than let them dust but if u wanna use mythics make sure your team isnt full of trolls.
Never had this problem before so i guess its unlucky for you :frowning:
But OP if you think you have a hard time playing around trolls you should see how youtubers handle it #prayforubernick2K17

Bring back firefight way better than warzone

ROFLOL—great story!

There definitely needs to be a fix for the Betrayal system(and many other aspects of Halo 5). And if your team mate keeps draining your shield leaving you vulnerable, that should be counted as a betrayal too or at least a betrayal-assist. ONE team betrayal or betrayal-assist, no matter how innocent it appears to be, should allow the boot/forgive pop-up to appear. Because ultimately, it is up to the person who was betrayed to make the decision on whether it was an “accident” or not.

The only advice for REQs is to be careful, hide often and ambush as much as possible. DO NOT CHARGE IN. Try to be patient, even with a melee weapon.
