What's the point of uploading?

I was fiddling around with the in-game Theatre feature for the first time the other day and made a couple of clips from my most recent Infinity Team Slayer match. Nothing special, just some moments I thought were funny (first kill that resulted in a tipped vehicle, a couple of good splatters). I saw that I could upload them to the Waypoint File Share, so I did.

I’m left wondering exactly what the point of being able to upload the clips is, when I or anyone else can’t even view them from the Waypoint website? Am I missing something really obvious? When I go to one of the clips (or any other clip for that matter), there appears to be a Play type button but clicking it does nothing whatsoever.

I’m not upset about this at all, just really confused… I’ve done some Google and forums searching and the best I can find was a thread about the File Share feature missing completely which is not the case anymore.

You can’t watch it because the footage is still set to Halo 4’s Code. Bungie used to fix the problem by having their fans buy render points to convert Halo 3’s and Reach’s code to be compatible on computers.

You can recommend the clip to your friends after uploading it. They can only watch via the game.

This is Halo, reborn.

Ok, thank you. Like I said, it’s not a big deal for me I just know that there’s no point in uploading further clips. I far prefer playing the game to fiddling with footage anyway.

You have my respect OP, for not ending in needless hatred.
