What's the point of unique weapons in campaign?

You know…besides the extra damage.

They reward those who explore with something cool that is also functional, unlike other easter eggs.

Right but…functionally what is the difference between blaze of glory and a random shotty?

Why would you want less variety in weapons?

We’ve long since left the ‘role-based arsenal’ of CE.

"laze of Glory has a Forerunner mechanism equipped in order to fire hard-light projectiles with more range and anti-material effect then the Lawgiver. It is also able to be reload its entire magazine with one shell. "

Obviously they won’t be functionally different since having a weapon exclusive to the campaign which is additionally hidden would be a waste of resources. They look different, and isn’t the point of an upgraded weapon to do more damage in the end?

Unique weapons also give the characters a bit of a personality. For example, In Halo: The Fall of Reach (the book), Linda had 3 different types of snipers that she designed, made and used depending on the mission. She used the silenced one the most but I don’t know if they made her sniper silenced in the game.

No, it just has the full magazine capacity within one shell.

Ohhh…so, one load animation ok

Funsies.

so they are not unlocked for warzone or something like that?

You have to unlock them via REQ packs randomly. Best chance to get one is probably with a gold pack.

Does having them in the campaign really matter that much? Even if it was solely an aesthetic difference, would it truly matter?

not only that but the ones in campaign still have the bonuses, like nornfang having the special sniper rounds that adjust its course a little.

they make legendary solo so much better
