The truth is that this Halo is a too similar experience to the others games or that we are really bored? Really, i’m curious to find the point of this problem, i don’t know if i lost the feeling about Halo, or it’s for my personal opinion that i’d really want to see a pure innovation, a really changement for Halo to something superior, a new type of game, i think the community don’t accept the fact that Halo 4 is something too predictible respect to the other games, i’m seriousely think what could the game have done offering a new type of gameplay and experience, giving to the player the magic feel of something incredible, i only had this feeling when i saw those amazing Forerunner Towers and that awesome landscape and emotions.
I agree, halo has just blended in to the background of usual shooters, it needs to reinvent itself and truly give a meaning to playing the game again, this halo is a disappointment to me
Cheers

Yup. It’s sad in a way, but the only feasible way to bring Halo back onto it’s feet is to go backwards in time to the days of Arena Shooters. You know, the genre that Halo was king of, the genre that is now dead because Bungie pushed towards casual gameplay with Reach, and then 343i pushed the nail in the coffin with Halo 4.
To innovate doesn’t mean to assimilate ideas or concepts from other games, it means to make a fresh experience away from the norm, and right now that norm is run and gun shooters like Call of Duty. We need to go to a shooter style that is gone and bring it back. We need to have an Arena Shooter again.
Maybe that Arena Shooter will be Halo 5 but I have great doubt that 343i would ever break away from the norm. 343i doesn’t have the moxie to bring Halo back to the throne.
I’m far from bored.

Halo can’t reinvent itself. It’s not just the fanbase that won’t allow it due to nostalgia and the greatness of CE but also…
It’s simply because is one of those games that don’t need to change much besides in the story and graphics. The core of the MP is solid but no one can agree. Should that core 2, CE, 3? Reach (oh god)? Which forces the devs to please everyone and look at the results. Mixed if we re being nice here.
But…changing it is and not everyone is liking what 343 is doing (or not doing). This will happen even if 343 decided to not copy modern shooter elements like they do now and the same responses we see now will be exactly the same ones you’ll will see if Halo tries to “re” itself again in the future.
Why? Because the game is not meant to change.
I think no one wants to hear it but…Halo is no longer relevant. It still sells and people play it but it far cry from the fad it used to be in the Halo 2-3 days. Halo, while certainly a really good shooter, has become more niche and less mainstream. You can go ahead, add the fancy graphics, ranking systems, and all that. It’ll be a better experience bu Halo is no longer a trend. Established and well known but more nerdy than cool compared to shooters like COD.
That being said, i really love Halo. So it pains me to say that i really think that it’s time has passed. The mighty has fallen from the throne and it’s time to rest in peace. I love Halo 4 but with this amount of negativity…you might as well end it here.
Note: Halo wasn’t the king of Arena shooters, not even close. It’s not even pure Arena shooter itself! lol Games like Quake and Unreal deserve that honor more, since PC gaming takes more skill. Halo just made console shooters viable with a controller and with Halo 2, popularized xbox live.
So if anything, Halo was just the king console shooters back in the day. A great game with an awesome story and addicting MP but the king of Arena shooters? Please. Far from it. It’s a unique brand of FPS, not quite 100 percent Arena shooter (therefore, cannot be an Arena shooter king) but CE was incredible game nonetheless and in a class of it’s own.
I mean, they should think of a game who must reinvent his gameplay and feelings, who said that Halo is composed in this way and it must be locked to his origins? I personally want a new experience, that doesn’t mean the game must be similar to the standard FPS, i want a Halo who whatch to the future, that can surpass himself, how people can hope to have a better experience if the Halo games to come will be attached to the Halo 2 standards? Not that type of revolution with Halo 4, it only takes the good things about the precursors halo games, and if you notice Reach introduced more new changes respect to Halo 4, tell me if you don’t ever imagined a new freaking experience of Halo when you only saw the first trailer, you start from the point where your fantasy take control and imagine a fantastic universe, to arrive at the point that when the game comes out you are excited but you see that the innovation from the previous game is little, it’s better when you personally have a dream about a Halo universe, the only first trailer at the time i saw him, it was very special and unique.
