What's the point of the Mantis Stomp?

Literally, the mantis stomp has no use. It does little to no damage, and it freezes you in place for a short time, leaving you open to be boarded. I don’t know why it isn’t already, but it needs to be buffed. How? Increase the area of effect drastically, increase the damage to an instakill, and maybe in the ONI variant, have the stomp release a charged EMP blast that kills whoever is boarding you, at the expense of your shields (EMP ability has to recharge). If this doesn’t happen, there is no point to having the mantis stomp ability, which is a shame because it’s a really cool idea going to waste.

the Hannibal variant does release an emp but on a hole I completely agree with you.

Its current purpose is to leave the mantis vulnerable to board.

Yep. Use it all the time in WZ:FF on vehicle bosses.

It’s also semi-damaging to Knights and Wardens.
