Whats the point of having slayer in quick play? Would it not make sense to have it objectives only considering we allready have team slayer?

I get that. But wouldnt you just play team slayer if you wanted slayer 
No, because then there is no variety…
Quick Play is just meant as a playlist with the most obvious gamemodes. If you want a specific one, you go to the specific playlist.
The problem only is that every specific playlist is a slayer one and the huge part of the Halo-community that love objective gamemodes isn’t being served at all. Quick Play is fine as it is, we just need objective playlists
They made quickplay mixed because generally objective playlist does poorer than slayer playlists.
Community asked for slayer only so they provided. I think realistically they would have preferred to just keep it mixed.
To use challenge swaps so 343 makes money, that’s the sole point of the game it seems lol
