Whats the point of multiplayer after battle pass complete?

same goes there for me.

Fun?

There’s probably going to be other challenge events. The Samurai armour will be coming back and there’s likely to be a Valentines Day and Easter event if they’re keeping to the Holiday theme.

I agree with this crazy guy.

I cannot understand this complaint. You play the game because… you like the game.

If you don’t enjoy the game, then don’t play it. I don’t understand why this is such a hard concept.

I, for one, love Halo. And I will continue to play regardless of what “rewards” are available.

I’ll tell you the same I told everyone else when people were complaining about a content droughts in Destiny 1 and 2 before introducing the seasonal model. And that is……. “Play something else till the next expansion/DLC”. It’s that simple.

Play another game lmao.

the game doesn’t keep track of your stats and you don’t have anything to show for your work so competition isn’t much of a factor. reward is what activates the drive for competition in your brain, which is why people usually compete for something.

and the game is only fun for so long until the poor netcode and dearth of content makes everything feel cheap and repetitive.

What most people did before the existence of “battlepasses” they just played for enjoyment. Also weekly reward and events like winter contingency.

Why not? If it works it works.
Games should not be afraid of replicating the good things, just make sure you’re not replicating the bad as well.

That’s the problem with unlock-based progression motivation in games. It sucks the fun away and then when you unlock everything you feel like you’re done until they add more.

What this game needs is to inspire people to play the game for the sake of just having fun, or self improvement. A proper stat page so you can track your progress, multiple ranked playlists to work your way up in, leaderboards, forge, community spotlights, actual long-term progression like commendations and a social rank that takes an unreasonable amount of time to max out (like SR152 or Inheritor), or is a reasonable grind, but tracks separately across playlists like H3 etc.

When you set your game up with a clear finish line that you can reach in a couple of weeks you’re just giving people a goal that, once met, will make them feel finished with your game.

All of this is very true. Halotracker does have a lot of this though apparently

The reward is the win/kill. Halo has always been competitive, always was always will be.

Yeah this game definitely needs more content. MCC/5 are still around so we do have options :man_shrugging:

Duh…. OP is asking what else is there to do in this game though

When you live with a stick shoved up you butt you tend to hate just about everything lol

Not at all, the game is enjoyable at times. Couldn’t imagine forcing myself to play it with nothing but a number on steam to show for it

was going to say this lmao. Sounds like destiny
