Toā¦ just play the game? Itās so odd to me that some people genuinely need unlocks to keep playing a game. I get that it enriches the experience, but it blows my mind that people will play a game for the unlocks when clearly they donāt enjoy the game itself enough to just be content by having fun with the gameplay. I feel like this means you actually donāt even like the game and should probably find another game to play. Itās probably not that black and white, just so confusing from my perspective where I play a game to entertain myself with the fun/competition in the gameplay, not just grinding towards a shoulder piece.

This game has none of that
I miss server selection and EU servers in general. Cause you canāt even have fun wen itās always on your disadvantage and an enemy, that would normaly be crushed by you, kills you because of US servers. But it seems that 343/MS is doing the ssame mistake again and they will implement it laterā¦ In 2 to 3 years.
I would play for fun but there is none. First of all because of worse servers, than there is no point for playing at all cause there isnāt even an rank for your āspendedā time there. Like the points you made each game that will influence your personal rank [not that bs from arena.
Also arena sucks. First of all I lost 7 games, left 4 games and only won 3 when I was not ranked. But guess what? I never performed good and I still got Platinum 3. What a joke. Also a joke that a friend of mine who won a game and had a 5,4 K/D in an Slayer Match lost rank points. So itās really stupid
OPās post made me realize that the harsh monetization of videogames has seriously wrecked the standards of what a videogame is to newer players.
It is a video GAME.
You enjoy it. The cosmetic unlocks are just a goal you make personally to unlock the itemsā¦ or in modern games, to take a card and purchase them.
The point is that you are supposed to have fun and enjoy the game. A thing that we have seen less and less in the minds of development studios and publishing houses post 2010.
Nothing. Unless you like to grind your ranked level. I wish they would have an overall progression system outside of BP and Ranked.
I would say āplay the game, just for funā - but when Iām playing the same 3 game modes, on the same 3 mapsā¦ Iām getting burned out already.

The real question is if you were ever interested in playing the game in the first place? If obtaining cosmetics was all your interested in it clearly seems like you werenāt in it for the actually fun of the gameā¦
I dunno what to tell you if thatās the caseā¦ Maybe do a little bit more thorough research before picking up a game perhaps?

Havenāt played MP in nearly a week. After the improvements to the XP gain I was able to complete the BP in a little over a week (It was fast but i got lucky with some challenges by cheesing in the bot arena). Ive been trying to play campaign but ive already completed it 3 times trying to complete challenges.
Forge not being in the game was probably the biggest mistake 343i made with the launch of the game. Where 343i Lacked the community could have stepped in to help create maps and cycle them through MP until developed maps were created. But this is for another discussion.

If I manage to complete the BP before the end of the season, Iām prolly gonna throw down in Ranked (Solo/Duo, Controller Queue) on weekends while spending my weekday game time on other games.
I do think that it was a misstep,though, for them to not implement a new version of the Commendations we saw in Halo 5. Rewarding folks for getting kills with a wide array of the weapons and/or playing the objective, giving them Charms, Skins, Emblems, etc. would have been a slam dunk, as Iāve said in multiple other topics on the issue.

Ok but even without monetization there is no reason to play. You people always say its as fun as past halo games yet it lacks progression, a leveling system, a service record. When you complete the battle pass youre literally just playing to tell yourself youre having fun or winning.
People play games for bragging rights weather its grinding the pass, reaching max rank, unlocking some gold guns etc. This game lacks any of this content other games have to keep players playing.

Kinda hard when theres nothing to do. āCasualā pvp feels like world cup matches, Big Team Battle doesnt work, Forge doesnt exist, FIrefight doesnt exist, Custom games are just pvp with funny settings, Campaign is repetative. What would you propose OP do to have fun in a game lacking content?
