What's the point of HWC FFA

FFA is one of my favorite gamemodes, so I start to play arena for get mi rank in every single gamemode, and FFA is the last one for get my rank, but after only one match, I going to skip this gamemode. I don’t understand how the radar works, also there’s no full auto weapons, and it takes a lot of time, about 12 minutes. And, you have to kill an infinite amount of Spartans to win?
Does HWC players even like this?

Well, the radar isn’t a motion tracker in that mode. It’s an “ability tracker” (how the -Yoink- does that even work?), which means it’ll only pick up players if they’re sprinting, thrusting, clambering, etcetera.

People like HWC FFA because there’s no “cheese” (radar or autos). Those kinds of players prefer a sweaty Magnum-fest. Kinda fitting for the HWC, but IMO not a replacement for standard FFA.

its literally built from their feedback

The point is to karate chop ai in half

It will likely go back to the original FFA once the HWC season is over with next week.

I have stopped playing H5 because of the FFA HWC. It was alright at first but go so stale really fast. I have been playing MCC which kinda sucks too because there is no FFA at all and all the H3 fanboys in btb.

Thanks a lot for clarifying how the radar works, I’m currently a diamond-something and had noticed it was a bit wierd but didn’t know this.

I actually like that it’s a sweaty magnum-fest, it gives me the ability to practice duels.

The playlist is what they use for tournaments so it’s not a bad format for that.

Surprised it hasn’t been mentioned generally yet, but Warzone Turbo is back this weekend in case you want to play it.

Its just boring ffa, I think of it as aim practice

the length is what they want, the infinite kills means you cant just get lucky with cleanups. You have to be consistently picking kills throughout the duration. sure cleaning up easy multis can give you advantage. i have seen guys give up 15 kill leads because they dropped off towards the end of the game.

I am visiting family this weekend so probably won’t have time to play unfortunately.

More of people wanted a more skill based one. Magnums only really. Tournament wise I understand why it’s twelve minutes but for the playlist I feel like it should be dropped down to 8 minutes.

I like the playlist although I’m still a sub-average FFA player. 12 minute matches are a bit lengthy though. I know that’s Halo’s standard, but 10 minutes would be nice. And one more map and perhaps a power weapon spawn on each map wouldn’t hurt either. Regardless, it’s nice to have a playlist I can play solo without getting cheesed by the storm rifle.
