Ok…I’ve played halo for 9 years now and I love the game to bits but it’s not fun anymore. I’ll play for hours on end and will most likely playing by myself while playing warzone. I’ve played maybe 500 games and about 1/2 was a farming game. Think about it 250 games from one person. now multiply that by the amount of players that played at the beginning of halo 5’s early stages. now hold onto that number and do the same to the amount players that play now. It’s a steady decline… Think about it. Halo always had bullet magnetism so dont complain halo 4 had it by far the worst). Ever since Bungie gave the rights to halo to 343 farming as been going up. Now lets think about this. 343 has only made 2 games and in those 2 games farming became a thing. Bungie listens to the fans and they don’t just listen to the “pros”. 343 being new to the idea of how to make a proper game doesn’t. 343 only listens to the “pros”. Which is very terrible for what you call a “community”. Halo has never been a community first of all. we worship the “pros”. By definition “feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.” Everyone has different goals and ideas but the rule that most commonly is broken is Good Sportsmanship. Farming is braking that rule because your not giving the other team a fighting chance. Spawn killing has always been in games and cannot be prevented. However as the player we must be respectful to the enemy team. Halo will die off the so called “community” continues to be disrespectful and unsporting. This is how halo became to it’s height with respectful players and sportsmanship. Although the spawns is a major problem in games it’s your job as the player to give them a chance. Farming is not on 343 its on YOU THE PLAYER for being unfair and disrespectful. Halo will soon be just a grain of sand along with all the other games if we keep on going with the path that we are taking and on. Comments and concerns?
Well IMO I do think 343 only caters to the elite in their community i.e. pros, or the big forgers and maybe some youtubers.
I’m not sure I agree with your assessment of Halo’s community being founded on a moral highground constructed from respect and sportsmanship.

The community at large has always seemed… -Yoink-. There are rare glimmers of hope but the bulk of my experiences since playing H2 online haven’t seen much sportsmanship.
Though I agree with the part where farming isn’t really 343’s fault. The mindset of those who farm needs to change. But that’s a difficult hill to climb.

I have a little laugh to my self whenever someone says this, because when Halo 4 launched people said the exact opposite.

Trolls are everywhere, they can’t be helped for the most part. But minus them, I think were certainly not the worst.
There are some communities were openly on forums and such people will tell each other “to kill them selves” for the dumbest things.
Very rarely does that happen here, and when it does mods jump on them like freaking tigers.
The biggest problems we are having right now is the bad amount of division we have in our desires.

I’m confident you know this,CE didn’t have any online functionality. The players had direct control over everyone in the match by sitting in the same room as them. You really can’t compare the two.

because your missing the point. THINK! when your with friends your very casual and friendly to each other. BUT halo can’t be called a community because there is no team work, there is no friendship, THERE IS NO PRIDE!
I think I’m reading this right, that this is essentially an anti-farming thread.
For the record, farming is sub-human.
That said, it is against no rule, and is the next nearest thing to inevitable that I can think of. This kind of garbage behavior is as old as Halo 2 objective- and spawn-camping. If the other team starts farming (I’m pretty sure that true farming happens a lot less than most people claim) then you can be a victim or you can quit and move on to a different match. Quitting statistics send a much clearer message to developers than forum rants.
Farming was a thing well before Halo 4 and 5. H2 and H3 mainly because you could create multiple accounts and boost your friends. In fact farming has been in any game that has the ability to do so.
Another thing, I have played 716 WZ games and have only experienced farming twice. I don’t think you really know what farming is. If you’re getting your butt stomped that snot farming. If someone is purposely not downing easy bosses in order to prolong the game and spawn kill you, that’s farming. Any questions?

I read that even though you didn’t make anyone want to read it, but I have a hard time believing that you get over 50% of games farmed, when your win percentage for WZ is 45%, so your saying every time you lose it’s because you were farmed. The biggest problem with your post, is these are not facts and frankly you’re just a whiney little kid who doesn’t understand much of anything but your own misguided opinion.
