What's the NEGATIVE of SHOWING health?

What’s the NEGATIVE of SHOWING your health bar? Think of it functioning like the Elites… It would simply show how much health you’re at, but STILL regenerate over time.

I’d rather be able to SEE how much health I have left so I can make moves accordingly, unless health regenerates alongside your shields which we all know doesn’t happen. In Halo 2/3 we’ve had invisible health bars, so why not just SHOW them so we know, but still have them regenerate without the need of health packs?

That is all.

No to health packs, although I wouldn’t mind having health packs laying around to speed up the process of recovering health.
Yes to SHOWING your health.

Nothing.

I have been thinking they should go back to the automatic pickup health packs like in CE.

I agree. Why do we have to Press X just to pick up Health Packs in the first place? Other than that, they should just do the same thing in CE.

Not only would I like my health to always be visible, I want my vehicle’s and passenger’s to be displayed as well. Sure the vehicle shows off damage, but that’s qualitative. Quantitative data helps out so much better.

Removing the motion tracker while zoomed is ok for balance reasons but it is oh so sorely missed to have up in campaign.

Too much information only occurs when it is grouped and sized improperly IMO.

Because it’s annoying.

If my health is orange, and my teammate’s is red, I’ll have him or her take the health pack instead of me, especially if I know they have better weapons than me (sniper rifle, rocket launcher, etc).

I hated accidentally picking up health packs in co-op when I only had one bar missing and my friend was missing all but one.

Because in ODST, people would accidentally pick up the health packs ALL THE DAMN TIME.

I think the best thing would be to actually stick to halo 3’s and halo 2’s health system. As you guys already listed problems by hacing the health pack pickups by pressing X, and just walking over them.

I love HCE’s system: Non-regenrating health and a regenerating shield. It really provides a significant challenge without being overly difficult. I was a little disappointed with Reach’s semi-regenerating health, but it is what it is. Halo 2/3’s health system seems just a little CoD-ish to me, even though H2 came out a year prior to Cod2. You can’t explain that.
