What's the most fun thing to do in this game?

First to clarify I am no pro, far from it. So some information in this post may be wrong or invalid. That also being said I don’t have the authority to say your opinion sucks and mine is better so take everything with a grain of salt. Now on to your regularly scheduled post.

Ok, I love this game to death. I love the game modes such as TFF(Terminus Firefight), I love how balanced the game is right now(With the exception being Voridus) and overall the game is in a good state. However just regularl matchmaking has become almost a chore rather than a fun activity I do with friends. So I was wondering what do you guys think is the most fun part of this game besides the matchmaking? I’ve already 100% the campaign on solo so thats not an option. What me and my buddies do for fun is going into customs and go random teams and random leaders. It’s forces you to learn a leader you usually don’t play and it mixes up the teams forcing you to work with others making it so their isn’t one team dominating the other every game. One time me and a friend tried to see how fast we could beat the campaign on legendary and we got to about the third to last mission till’ passing out since it was 2 A.M. And I would like to stay that I don’t necessarily hate matchmaking. It’s just become boring and routine almost after all this time. What do you guys do for fun in Halo Wars 2 whenever you’re bored. Just curious.

Well, for me it used to be 1s, that was my jam.

But now it is team matches with my friends or custom matches with them. That way you always have someone to talk to about the game and to share the experience with #cheesy

Backdooring someone’s main base with a full population of suicide grunts, while there out fighting somewhere else on the map.

Building 3 ultimates and sending them to the enemy accepting and not caring they might all die. Or locking down my base and sending out max pop grunts/marines to the enemy base.

It might be strange, but I always play the mission The Archive in the ATN expansion and reach the end. From there, where you’re able to teleport as many infantry as you want (so long as you have the supplies) I just send them to their deaths and scoot as close as possible to the screen to watch them all go through the transformation process. I just keep spamming and spamming, never completing the mission, and just watch. It’s so satisfying.

My my, you are one Cruel Leader.

You’re practicly the -Yoink!- of Halo Wars. JK

Win

For me it used to be 1v1 and 2v2 now, Idk.

I personally love it when players work together. I’ll drop in on someone else’s fight and use Atriox’s Bullwark or Decimus’ Siphon to give them a hand. And then they return the favor sooner or later…sometimes.

Teamwork FTW

Spawning about 15 blister backs and landing them out of LOS from a base, then sending in a cloaked honor guard for the instant one barrage base kill

I usually play 1v1, but for fun I’ll play team war with forge and build Grizzlies and have the tier three vehicle upgrade and the heavy metal upgrade; then just tank it hard and eat up all the opponents leader powers like its nothing. Army of hunters? No problem. 4 siege turrets? Grizzlies don’t care. Very fun to use these tanky tanks.

Lol most fun thing I did was in 1s where I was winning and i had my opponent down to 1 base. I wiped his army and wiped mine at his base by sent them to die a slow death. I then made 120 pop of suicide grunts from about 4 mini bases and then whipped out his army refilled my pop to 120 and rekt his base. It was beautiful even magical watching them run to his base.

Afterwards I felt like a DOOSH.
