Whats the general consensus on Warzone?

I only play H5 casually, with around 100 games played across all modes, certainly nothing impressive considering ive had the game since release.

At any rate, ive recently started playing again after a few months hiatus, and as before I find myself not really enjoying the warzone games I play. In the vast majority of cases, the games always end up being a stomp by one side, with the other having no real chance of coming back or winning at all. In a lot of cases its even apparent from the first few minutes, which makes the ensuing 10-15 even more painful. I just feel like the game is too snowbally, where teams that get an early lead can easily translate that into game dominance, usually through the use of vehicle spam to just decimate the enemy team. I find I can only really play 3-6 games a day to get the first win req packs (and usually save up enough to get buy a gold pack) before I become disillusioned with the game and have to stop playing. The ease of snowballing and vehicle spam may only be one aspect that gets to me, but its certainly the biggest. Others include OP loadout weapons and armor mods that severely tip the scales of a battle to one side.

I guess im just curious if the community really loves warzone or not. If the community is behind it, I have a feeling it will once again be the focal point of the next halo games multiplayer, much to my dismay.

I find warzone fun I mean your team can be stomped but I have always been able to atleast fight a little and why are you saving up for gold btw?

Hate it. I like arena and the competitive feel of halo.

LOVE IT. WZ is the only thing I play, aside from a game of grifball every now and then.

I like having the chance of getting legendaries and whatnot from the gold packs. I know its more efficient to buy the 5k packs first until you have all the basic stuff unlocked, but I know im never going to play enough to actually unlock it all anyways so that’s kind of a moot point. Im pretty much just always crossing my fingers for Nornfang or Lindas helmet since she is my favorite Spartan and I love me some sniping. =P

It makes for a good match for warming up for arena lol.

Even as a “tryhard arena player” I find myself really enjoying Warzone as a way to relax and chill out with some friends. That and getting crazy sniper clips or 1v4+ with a BR and coming out alive never gets old. Though I find running from vehicles gets really old, especially if all I want to do is snipe people and a banshee makes it their personal mission to stop me and me alone or people that camp with a scorpion when I’m trying to assault an armory. Though I guess that has something to do more with player mindsets in warzone that I’m not used to coming from Arena where people don’t have ADD and are fairly predictable.

I love Warzone. Of course, occasionaly you play a one-sided match (or worse, you get farmed), but most of the times it’s really fun. A game mode that offers only four maps (the fifth was just released) but keeps making me come back can’t be bad.

Of course I have some gripes with some particular maps and mechanics, but overall it’s awesome and I truly hope that 343 will keep it as a “focal point” in Halo 6.

I don’t enjoy Warzone, not anymore. Too often, the match becomes one-sided and the losing team has no chance of making a comeback. It was fun back in the day when it was all new and fresh to us, no one knew everything. But now to me it feels just as competitive as any arena match, with the added frustration of not being able to turn things around because 90% of the time I just die after calling in a REQ before I can even use it.

I play WZ assault unless I have a group going. I really enjoy either really. Can’t wait for firefight!

As a whole, I really enjoy Warzone. I’ve had a rough learning curve worth Halo 5. I used to be good at Halo 3, then stopped playing the franchise completely, with the last 2 years, not playing video games at all. But with Warzone, it’s not so much my skill in Halo, so much as my organization that has made this game enjoyable to me. I can play the objectives of Warzone and still do well. I focus mainly on bosses, and keeping bases. Warzone gives me a way to enjoy the game.
Now when it comes to being one sided, I’ve been on both ends. I’ve been in plenty of games where I’ve been farmed, and I’ve been in games where we destroy the core in less than 5 min. Being on the receiving end of a 20 min. long farm session can be extremely frustrating. I’ve also been in close games that have come down to the wire, and those games are the most memorable, won or lose.
Recently it has been better on that front, because my friend and I run a Spartan Company that has many active members. (We are against farming, and we don’t allow it) It is nice to be able to play a Warzone match with 5-10 members and have some coordination.
So to me, Warzone can be an enjoyable game mode, if you make it so. Try not to sweat the things you can’t control.
