What's the first thing you will be doing?

After you get your hands on the next Halo? I for one will be looking for the most important things that were left out since Halo 4. I will be looking at the UI and seeing if it returned to what it was in Halo Reach ( my opinion that Reach had it the best ). I will be looking around what was added and the customization of the player to see if it surpassed Reach’s customization and not like Halo 4’s. Reach had the armor customization down perfect. Bring that back. Game modes I will be looking for to see what returned and what didnt. Overall I will look out to see if 343 did the right thing and not left anything out.

Un boxing the Limited Edition, skimming through the booklets and manuals, and then it’s all about the campaign. Normal, solo and nothing else until I’m done.

Campaign first, FFA game second, party up with friends after that.

Checking the forge pallet, all the maps and to see all the new weapons, AAs and vehicles. Followed by the 1st level of campaign and go abck to it every so often after multiplayer

Legendary campaign, then any secondary mode it might have, like Firefight or anything, and when I get bored, I will go into MM and never leave.

If I ever get it,

  1. check out UI/customization/settings/achievements
  2. Custom games to get a feel for movement and aiming
  3. Campaign for a few minutes
  4. Theater to verify it supports Campaign
  5. finish Campaign on Easy or Legendary, try out skulls or go skull hunting
  6. look for Campaign speedrunning/LASO/swag strats

After I get my hands on the game? Legendary solo campaign. But before that happens I’m going on YouTube to see the story because this game has left me hanging like no other.

I don’t care if it spoils my entire campaign experience.

  1. Solo campaign on heroic for that “canon” story difficulty experience.
  2. Jump into forge, to get a feel for the weapon sandbox.
  3. admire the UI & menus while waiting for friends to party up with.
  4. once more into the breach (MM with friends)

Same as every title release really.

Enjoy the menu a bit see the armors that is there at recruit and then jump into the campaign on Heroic or normal.

First, I will be reading the novels that will lead up to Halo 5, just like I did with Halo 4 (say what you want about Glasslands and The Thursday war, I found those really good books), get the game, read the booklets (if there are any) that come with Limited Edition that are connected to the storyline, and then I’ll start the campaign.

i usually play through the campaign on heroic first then jump to multiplayer

Campaign on legendary solo, only way to go!!!

It’ll have to be much better than Halo 4 for me to even consider getting it, for one thing. If I ever do bother getting it, I’ll start with the Campaign on Normal like I always do (obvious unboxing aside), then jump straight into Forge.

I will not be looking for criticism, I will play the campaign on Heroic, all the way, FIRST. Then comes MM, Legendary and maybe LASO again.

Here’s my agenda for Halo 5.

Campaign
Co-Op
Campaign again
Co-Op
Campaign
Co-Op
Co-Op
Campaign

and THEN maybe forge.

When I get the game to a playable point, Campaign first no matter what, then a little of whatever PvE game mode there is, then maybe CoOp, then if I feel like it, PvP MP.

Open it up, skim the multiplayer menus, hop in Campaign; Normal Solo. My story play-though.

Halo 4 had weird looking armor, but never the less, had more of it and allowed all armor pieces to be changed. Reach only allowed some.

Wander around the menus for a bit, then onto the campaign (Normal).
