What's the exact number of the population in H5G?

Since Halo Reach is now backwards compatible I am wondering how big Halo 5’s multiplayer is.
Why?

Halo Reach has over 10K players online and if Halo 5 has a close number to that or is the double amount of that then you can clearly see that Halo 5 is a failure.

Holy -Yoink-, the population is almost 13K! I can’t be happier to see Halo Reach being alive again…

What is your definition of population?

How many players there are online in a game. I didn’t really have any other choice than saying that.

Dont see why. Halo Reach was a massive failure in my eyes. Boring gameplay, terrible story, however it had the best forge.

personaly, I would bet that its prob around 15-25k people atm. Maybe there’s more with forge, but I personally don’t think people, who aren’t lovers of the series, are playing anymore, even with forge. That might change though with the addition of forge as people who held off buying the game may do so for christmas.

Who else thought forge’s controls were a bit over complicated in halo 5… I mean sure I don’t have to go into a billion other menus for my rotation snap…

Forge’s controls are complicated. But learn the basic’s and you’ll master it soon. I mastered the controls almost in 1 day.

LOL everyone just installed it dood…wait a day or 2 it will drop right back down again. If it has been out for a month I would say you have an arguement, but I installed Gears 1 the first day of BC and it was thousands of people…guess what though. I went in not too long ago and population was down to 500. People are always going to check it out, but it wont be sustained. Look at halo 4…the first week literally had 100’s of thousands of people…then cod came out…and we all know what happened then.

An inconvenience now, but a boon later when you are comfortable with them.

OT: You’d probably have to use a mixture of Xbox most popular and looking at other games within the chart that document their population numbers to estimate what Halo 5 maintains.

Yeah I might believe that haha. The population might drop after a day or two because of the low framerate. I’m fine with that, many people are now used to 60fps… XD

Thanks for the tip!

reach was terrible in my opinion…armor lock really ruined the game, bloom just made it even worse. I think once people play a few rounds of MP and a round of firefight…theyll be right back in H5. Reach came out over 5 years ago…and games never play the same through emulation.

No idea even what ballpark the actual numbers are in, but I still find matches incredibly quickly so it can’t be too low. And that’s all I really care about, can I find a match quickly?

Halo 2, 3 and Reach are my favourite imo. Definitely were really good games in the golden age of the Halo franchise.

If you have a little bit of patience it won’t take long to find a match. Playing Infection and Team Slayer doesn’t take long to find matches. I just searched for a Team Slayer game and it didn’t take longer than 90 seconds to find a game.
Halo Reach now has 15K players online…

Oh, I was making a statement about H5, sorry if the question mark at the end made that confusing.

In response to the thread title, I don’t know what the game’s population is, none of us do. But can I find a match quickly? Yes, yes I can. Good enough for me.

Reach’s population is exactly the same then, between 10-20k, though I’m pretty sure the population counter is broken.

CE and 2 are my favorite…great games. I wasnt too crazy about 3 and all the different grenades and stuff…ODST and reach were ehh…Halo 4 was A LOT of fun for me, I played the hell out of it, but I just didnt get the competitive feeling from it, it was more casual to me. H5 tho I think nailed multiplayer…Im really liking it.

Reach is toilet… sad to see noobs ready to hide in their armor lock and be able to rank up no matter how bad they played… but hey to each their own… but H5 is currently #8 on most played and Reach isn’t even listed so yes H5 has the better population probably by quite a bit. Why buy a Xbox one if you just want to play last gen games?
