What's the deal with this:

As you can see in THIS video, the Radar blips representing the enemy are super confusing aren’t they? Which floor are they on? Does it say?
I thought in Reach and Halo 4, enemies were indicated to be either at level with the player, higher, or lower. All I’m seeing is this player is getting confused to which level the enemies are in his base.

Also, whats the deal with spawning with the pistol and having the BR as secondary?

Also, also, at 13:33 he climbs onto a Mantis and DISAPPEARS?! I watched it a couple of times to see where he was; wheres Waldo?! Is it just so dark I can’t see or something?

The radar blips didn’t seem that confusing. You might be misinterpreting the friendly Marines in the base for height differences and such.
It’s hard to see in a video, but it looks like there may be differences in boldness to indicate level.

Uhh… that’s how he set his REQ Loadout?

He boarded a Mantis while it’s whipping around, and he’s punching it throwing up smoke and fire. He didn’t disappear, it’s just hard to see.

Oh.
Thanks.
Good video, though.

The way the radar works is that the red dots will shine brighter when they are on the same level as you, and then dimmer if they are on a different level. I can see how some people might get confused by it though, as I thought for a little while that the radar no longer tells you that info. I just think that it is harder to tell, since the radar opacity is rather low, which makes the dots seem to blend in more.

It seems as though the above/below indicators have been removed in favor of one general “not on the same level as you” dot, which I actually kind of like.

Can you go into detail? I mean, I think a majority would much rather have and Indicator telling you “Hey, he’s above/below you!”
You saw the player slash and double-take when it fooled him into thinking they were in the same room. Kinda reminds me of Ripley, Vasquez, Hicks, and Hudson in Aliens, when the xenomorphs are showing up on the tracker as “in the room” but were really above them! Lol

Yeah the radar kind of bothers me. I definitely preferred the above or below indicators.

I’ll admit even with all of my H5 optimism that I agree with you. I miss the triangles that made it easy to interpret.
