I believe it is being realesed next month, as stated by bs angel:

“Web access to your Halo 4 File Share will come online next month. Your in-game File Share, which features 25 slots, is fully functional in the interim.”

every time I try to search by gamer tag I get nothing. it just keeps saying no results.

Well then you’re either doing it wrong or the person you’re searching for doesn’t have the map/gametype on his file share. If not, go in a custom games lobby and then go to “Recent” before you turn off your 360/quit Halo 4. You should be able to download it from there.

But I know for certain it works for many people. If you want specific gamertags, go on youtube and search ‘The Halo Forge Epidemic’ for their channel. You should be able to go from there.

I can relate, OP. I’ve been wanting to check out some of the community’s creations and see what’s popular. Right now I feel kind of disconnected :frowning:

I hope 343i get’s the Fileshare browser working soon.

That’s no where near a good solution.

The file share has been a stable of Halo custom games since 2007. I don’t understand what the hold up is. Halo 3, ODST, and Reach had the fileshare working prior to release.

343 really needs to get the fileshare up and running. With Forge, the possibility of amazing maps are endless. I want to see what people have been making and get these maps into matchmaking.
