Seriously, it’s just a stupid dmr shooting range with wide open fields, a cliff for sniping and two warthogs for decoration (like they are for most maps it’s sad)
When I first played this map I thought, hey this Is pretty cool looking, nice layout people driving the hogs and running around shooting, then people remember, hey this is halo 4. Time to grab our OP precision weapon and sit back like every other playlist in this game.
This map did have potential but the dmr’s got to it, now every time it pops up and I dared to pick another map I have to dashboard it and restart my game. Shame

When there was less cover and a Sniper on the ridge I would easily rack up 40, 50 kills a game with barley any deaths. That was more fun than how it is now… Now I don’t even pick that map…

I dislike Settler too. But,I play it to complete my Shotgun commendation…I like hanging out in Shotgun Alley! I do my best and try not to use any other weapon.
Don’t know what OP is talking about, I run around the map with mobility and a BR and stack up kills like crazy. I personally like the map, it offers multiple routes and positions to hold up in, more importantly one team cant strong arm an area and win the match. A smart team can flank with the hog and 3-4 other guys and clean an area out. (sorry longbow, I like you but dear god the gridlock in the central base is too much.)
EDIT: about hill control, it’s not over if one team controls the hill, it’s over when one team keeps rushing over there like morons feeding the other team kills. Grab a hog(and the other teams hog if you’re crafty) and shove it right up their rear end, they won’t be on that hill much longer when they’re getting hit from both ends.
I “Master” that map with the DMR, plus the Sniper. Best Open field map, i’ve played on.

MM System Team was already informed and they are resolving the problem. That’s what they told me yesterday, b/c a lot of us, including myself, complained about suicides.
I kinda like the map actually, it is super chaotic, but in a different way than most H4 maps, I find myself living far longer than usual despite the mass amount of carnage and am able to get around and actually pick up some weapons and do something with them.
I’m not a big fan of this map, I’ve never been a big fan of any btb forge maps they throw into matchmaking, not even Hemorrhage. Honestly I don’t know why people pick this map all the time.
I will just add that my favourite thing to do is to grab the shotgun and sit right in the enemy’s base while they all come in after me.
No, exile is a terrible map, and I’m all for keeping it, bout time they make a BTB map where a good BR user can rack up kills. like seriously, you wanna rag on this map while exile has more than vehicles than needed.
CTF is fun on this map. By the way, train with the Light Rifle if you wish to counter the DMR. It’s difficult at first but I’ve learned to defeat DMR users with four zoomed-in headshots.
Big Team Slayer on Settler is just HEY EVERYONE RUN TO THE CLIFF AND FIGHT. Even without the beloved sniper rifle spawn (now the Railgun) everyone SPRINTS to the cliff. And if you aren’t fighting on the cliff you’re either not getting much action, or getting picked off by cliff campers. Even the WARTHOGS end up on the cliff. It’s ridiculous.

THIS is true, something I’ve started doing lately… even though I used to be a heavy DMR user (not camper though)…
Actually it’s such a fun map, probably my best(most fun)game was there. Me and another guy were the only ones trying to control the hill, was 2 vs 4-5 and we won
And I was just using the LightRifle, such a rewarding weapon.
I would choose it over Ragnarok & Exile anytime…

I’m somehow one of the few who haven’t had spawn issues… that being said, I’ll probably commit suicide this way at least 4 or 5 times today ha!
