I’ll be real. I got smoked the other day on round 5 of FF by a grunt goblin. What’s the best way to take these guys out? What REQs do you use? Are they hijack-able? Any help is great. Thanks.
Also, feel free to share your goblin stories. Those are always fun to hear.

Scorpion/Mantis/Wraith reqs usually make killing the goblin easy. The only downfall is that if you get supercombined, that’s 5-6 req levels down the drain.
The Grunt goblin isn’t hijack-able as well, so that’s something to keep in mind (You can’t EMP it either, sadly)
As for goblin stories, one time my teammate somehow killed the goblin with a few shots of the DMR when it had half of it’s health remaining. How he did it, I will never know… (the crit spot on the goblin is kinda random, to say the least though. Maybe that’s why?)

Can’t seem to find that topic, (and if it’s dead/outdated, then it’s better to make a new thread.)

Maybe he actually managed to bust open the canopy and headshot the Grunt inside? Seems like the only possible explanation; at half health, hitting even the weak spot on the back wouldn’t drop it with a few shot from a DMR.

That or maybe the grunt goblin had enough and decided to end himself.
Either way, I should probably look at it in theater mode later and find out more info about what happened. (Assuming I have it saved, of course)
Edited to fix the quotes. Blame the quote glitches I guess.

I know you can headshot it, but I haven’t managed to get enough coordinated effort together to crack the glass and be in position. Usually for me it is just a matter of hitting them with whatever is handy and avoiding the bloody needles. Ghosts seem to stay alive on the ones that spawn in open areas. I prefer the fuel rods and a damage boost for the one on Noctus. A scorpion and cover for Arc. Wraith for sanctum FF.
Wraiths can be pretty effective, especially if you can be behind a rock or wall and lob your motor over the obstacle and hit the Goblin. This way he can’t directly lock onto you… it also helps when you send in some meat-shields on foot to distract him. lulz
