Hey i just got back in halo 5 not too long ago and i always get the gold packs and get crap do u know a way to get better req or all of them thank u :3
silver first, once they give you back 3k, go for gold packs till they give you 6k back, then bronzes.
Is better silvers first because they give you a lot of certifications, including some that can be obtained in gold packs so is cheaper and once they give you back 3k, you can buy a lot of silver packs in case you dont have vehicles, so is easy to win matches using silver packs as first option. they give you a lot of rp, xp jackpot (green one) that are very useful, xp jackpot is more useful than the blue xp one, so is a smart play to keep just the xp jackpot and sell all the blue ones (150 rp). once you have a good amount of vehicles, boost, you can go for gold packs. the bronzes you should go last because they give you very few certifications and sometimes it takes more than 100 packs for they to give you the last one, and remember, the bronze packs don’t give you back any rp, so they are expensive if you compare the level of reqs it gives.
Once you have all reqs, you can look for your best vehicles and things like that, for example if you want wasps or whiplash, silver are the best. If you want speed boost, carbines, bronzes.

That’s a common mistake, I used to do it too tbh xD. Even I unlocked some silver and bronze commendations when I was rank 149, 150… And I used to think that the speed boost were ultra legendary reqs because in gold packs they give you 1 in about 20 pack or something.

Guess i should start investing in silver and bronze then

The reason you open silvers until you cannot get any more permanent unlocks is so you reduce the size of the overall pool of unlocks. Silvers can only unlock items up to Rare, but Golds can unlock all rarities. So, for example, you can unlock two common items with one Gold pack, meaning you spent 5000 more RP than you really needed to (since Silver packs cost 5000 RP) for those two items. Once you unlock all items that have a lower rarity, you guarantee your Gold packs will unlock only Ultra Rare and Legendary items.
Well I think the best way to do it is to go all bronze packs first then go on to the silver packs. And lastly you want to buy the gold packs. I messed up at the beginning of the game and only opened gold packs. But I did get some pretty good things.

The fastest way to get a complete req collection is to purchase the Silver Packs first until you have unlocked all permanent reqs at the Common, Uncommon and Rare category that can be obtained from standard req packs. This method will save you 2500 RP per permanent req card and the indicator which tells when you should start to open gold packs is when the Silver Packs starts to give 2x 1500 RP (this card: picture) in place of the permanent reqs. This will also means that all consecutive Gold Packs will only give Ultra Rare and Legendary permanent reqs until every item in the payout pool has been unlocked.
If this method is done, it will save you approximately 1.3 million RP (4.0M RP vs. 5.3M RP) compared to if you unlocked all Uncommon and Rare permanent reqs from Gold Packs.
Finally, another method to save even more time is to also sell a large portion of the Power Weapons, Vehicles and Powerups.

The main reason for this is that Silver Packs gives 2 permanent req cards for 5000 RP while a Gold pack gives the same number of permanent items but for double the amount of req points (10,000 RP). Due to this, it’s much more effective to obtain permanent req cards that can both be obtained from Silver and Gold Packs (Uncommon and Rare req cards) from Silver Packs as you get double the amount of permanent req cards for the same amount of req point and it will save you approximately 1.3 million req points.
Silver packs until you unlocked everything from common to rare (whites,greens,blues) that way when you start opening gold packs you know you’ll always get ultra rare and legendary (purple,yellow and mythic too). It’s been a few years but if I recall it took me from lvl 5-80ish to unlock all common to rare certifications from silver packs.
so take it with a grain of salt if you started late you’ll probably start doing gold packs past lvl 100
