im trying to recruit for my clan theory of chaos and im having trouble posting on the forums doesnt help and i cant get anybody from ingame whats the best way to recruit sites ect please help we started about a day ago i have experianc i was 2nd in command of a clan for 2 years so i need to know please share your knowledge
Well there are a number of ways
I personally find the best way is to play until you’re matched with a guy that is unstoppable then you message him via xbox
Although it might not necessarily gain you recruitment, posting in the Recruiting forums is your best bet. If you see someone who might be a potential candidate in matchmaking, message them a small, professional text message. If they’re interested, they’re interested. If not, just move along and continue your search.
I cannot emphasis enough the need to be mature and professional when recruiting. You need to let people know why they should join your clan. What benefits them by joining? What does your clan offer other that others don’t? You need to make people want to join your clan. For instance, go into matchmaking with a team, play really well, win games by a large margin, then send out recruitment messages. The other players might not be interested, but some might say “Wow, those guys were really good, I wanna be in that clan!”
Hope that helps!

Plus, something you should avoid is making people in your clan change their gamer tag, unless they want to of course but essentially they are paying to join a clan

Agreed on both points.
I’ve been in a few clans my self, don’t really talk much about them because they was XFire Clans, and Halo PC/Custom Edition clans, so changing my display name to have clan tags in it, wasn’t an issue. But on Xbox LIVE, where you got to pay to change your gamer tag, and have the slight chance of having to completely change your game tag is a real pain. Even if I really wanted to join a clan, if they asked me to change my gamer tag, I would tell them to go -Yoink- them selves. I’ve had this gamer tag since day one of Halo 2 Vista’s release, and I don’t really plan on changing it.
Also, one of the ways I hear clans use to recruit people is to hold a big tournament, the best ones are then asked if they would like to join. That is, if you’re a clan who is selecting people based on skill.
