Recently, I’ve been playing a lot of Halo 5, and I’ve come to the conclusion that… the campaign sucks. Not as in, it’s just a plain bad campaign, but more, wow something really good could have come of this. Lucky for us, though, the music doesn’t suck. It’s actually kick -Yoink-. It’s definitely does not have the same feel as Marty’s score, having a twinge of what sounds to me like a metal gear solid/japanese tone to it. But that doesn’t make it bad, nor does it make it wrong for Halo. Once again, this is a soundtrack that I would listen to in my car. If I had one. But would you?
Of course you would. Otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this thread. Or maybe I’m just an jerk trying to read your motives. I’m really hoping it’s the first one. Anyway, what’s your favorite song from the game? The one that just meshes well with you, the one you fall asleep listening to, only to wake up to a song you bought five years ago and can’t stand anymore. Personally? My favorite is Jameson Locke. Unlike the character himself, it’s got an interesting vibe to it, what with the weird string bending on the guitar (I forget the correct term for it), and how it just seems to drift into the horizon. A really great song for a hopefully soon-to-be great dude.
