What's the best Colony build

I’ve been having a lot of fun with Colony as a whole but I feel like there is some sort of build that’s just insane that we’ve yet to come across.

I’ve tried the engineer skitter seems ok, tried the chopper skitter which is better but so far I’ve had the most success with grunts, choppers, skitters and engineers for an early rush.

Thoughts?

What I do is use Engineers + Skitters attached, along with (when I get them) Shrouds also attached. I’ll clear an enemy position (say a power node) and have grunts come cap it. Late game is usually a Scarab with 3 Skits attached and what ever else I need to counter the enemy. So far only lost once using this. (Can’t remember the email and password for my main Xbox account, so I made a second). The only time I’ve lost was when the other dude got out two Condors with Kodiak/ODST support.

Nice the only thing I don’t like about the engee skitter is that you can’t focus fire I need to try the 3 skitter on scarb I always forget to attach them once I get past my initial rush. Lol

I’m thinking you can make a small army with Max skitters attached to them would be a legit strat with the skitter upgrade.

I usually run my typical Banished build, but pump out Skitterers from my main and attach them to every Grunt squad/Goliath I build.

This with his Tier 5 leader power of constant heal plus devastating host is near unbeatable in the right hands imo.

I have a hard time determine if that or Decimus late game with Boundless/Fury Siphon is better

Yeah, but if you face another Colony player doing the same strat, 1v1s can last forever!

Fully upgraded skits on scarab are awesome! The scarab gets so much health from the skits, and makes a great meat shield for more squishy units like reavers.

Oh yeah absolutely. Could be an hour plus easy if the players on top of their game

You’ve probably have more success with colony rushing because he can be quite bad in the early game otherwise. Playing 7m spike on a character is hard in anything but 3’s.

Once you get late game with him he becomes one of the strongest.

I’ve had considerable success using hunters and Skitters with a few Reavers for AA
