I have been using the standard layout so far and I’d like a bit of a change. Please share your opinions on your preferred layout.
I like the Halo 4 control scheme best. Halo 5’s default confused me at first, so I immediately switched to the Halo 4 layout.
I use Recon.
I know I’ve seen a lot of people around here use Bumper Jumper as well

It’s kind of a personal preference thing. Somebody will tell you that bumperjumper is best due to the jump and aim thing, but it’s really what feels right to you and what your playstyle is. I always played recon until the h5 beta, and I just couldn’t get a handle on the controls. So I fiddled until I found out that Halo 4 worked best for me. It’s weird, but I’ve even changed up my control scheme when I go back to MCC or reach now.

I know it’s just there is quite a few layouts and I only really get the chance to play on the weekend. This will give me a better idea of the layouts it would be worth my while to try first
I’ve been using bumper jumper since H3
I always used Green Thumb, but I didn’t like how they had it set up in halo 5. I used recon and Halo 4 for a bit but I just wasn’t feeling them. I ended up settling on Fish Stick mainly because zoom is so important in Halo 5. I needed a set up that had zoom easily accessible. I’ve always like grenades on LT and feel it should be there, but those set ups just don’t work as well in halo 5.

I honestly wish more games would allow for easier button mapping.
I use Halo 4 because that’s what I like. I’m not going to force myself to learn a more “pro-friendly” control scheme. To me, the most pro-friendly control scheme is the one you yourself are most comfortable with, and for me, it’s Halo 4.
I use BJ. Who doesn’t like good ole BJ. (=
Been using bumper jumper since H3, have the thrust button mapped to one of the paddles on my elite controller.
