So we’ve all seen the ___ are killing halo threads, but what is actually killing halo? Tryhards, casuals, smurfs, surely all of them can’t be killing halo? So what is? Are the fans killing halo? Or is 343i killing halo? Can someone explain what is killing halo?!
Salt thats what

Post about things killing halo.
None of the above
The competition is killing Halo 3rd party games have more hype because everyone can play them the games most people talk about are 3rd party so Halo is excluded from the hype train.
The PS4 being the big platform this gen instead of 360 dominance is killing Halo.
Also the req system is bad just gonna throw that out there wouldve preferred a $50 season pass CoD and Battlefield/battlefront style and have Warzone reqs/Armor/all emblems/skins be locked to just challenges and SR
Things killing Halo right now… #1 the unstable 343 servers… #2 players quick to give up games they aren’t good at right away. #3 bugs, req system not working some times, getting kicked to home screen etc… #4 Halo has a high learning curve and is to competitive for most.

#2 and #4 are BS
If that were the case games like CSGO and LoL wouldn’t be so successful learning curves and difficulty don’t harm games
Just look at souls games even those sell millions too
halo is already dead
343 saw to that

Oh no its not at the launch everyone pissed and moaned about spartan charges now no one does why because they learned and got good at the game, most people are the type to try it if they can’t get it within a weak they have the game devs fix it for them, 343 didn’t fix it so they had to learn now that they learn anyone who complains about spartan charge is shot down
I’d say it’s 343. It’s no coincidence that the game where 343 wasn’t around were some of the best in the franchise and are regarded as Halo’s prime. Once 343 came into the picture the franchise took a nose dive.
There have always been try hards, casuals, campers, you name it. The one thing there hasn’t always been is 343. Weird how once they came around the series loses popularity.
The need for profit, milking the cash cow, and bringing really pointless things into the game (I’m talking about you pizza skins, phaetons, and needle hog…)
Nothing is killing halo. It’s more alive than ever with the amounts of games, books, comics, podcasts, websites, lovers, haters, and so on. Halo is not “just a game” where its population defines if it’s alive or dead. Halo has created living breathing communities. For some halo is a lifestyle. The majority of people fail to realize this tho and condem halo to death. 343 had done WAY more in terms of lore than bungie ever did and I’m okay with where it’s going. There’s more to our favourite franchise than just a game.
Halo has been on a downward trend for years and it didn’t help that MCC was a complete disaster. 343 is basically climbing a mountain trying to get fans interested in Halo again, but they’re failing at it. It’s basically just a combination of a bunch of things that are killing Halo’s fanbase.

343i is killing Halo.

Microsoft and 343
343I are stuck in between a rock and a hard place. They’re trying to make Halo their own while trying to appease the older Halo vets and in my opinion, they’re doing a terrible job at it. Halo doesn’t have an identity anymore, it sells off the name alone. I wish 343 could just create their own IP and leave Halo. They have passion, but not the vision of what Halo should be.
#5 Spartan charge!
Nothing really. Halo is getting a lot of attention and to this day is a worldwide famous franchise, with populated servers and regular updates onto the lore and gameplay. Don’t know what you consider “dead” but halo certainly isn’t it.
Halo seems fine right now, just not as dominant as it used to be now that it’s in a world of smartphones, social media and better video game peers and options. You might not be old enough to remember this, but dual-wielding, paid DLC, super-bounces, multiplayer maps from single player and more have “killed” Halo before.

Dead is when something is gone for a decade or four
