Obviously people are going to have different views on what is a good game, or movie, or artwork, whatever, my view though, this game is trash, that’s why the majority of people don’t play it, or come back to it.
You can’t play a game properly if one day it plays OK, and then for three days solid there’s a massive reduction in hit detection, or you’re still fazing through players when you’re trying to melee them, for me that equates to no fun. People say the lack of maps aren’t the problem, well that would be the case if the maps we had were half decent, but in my view, the maps are trash.
And another thing, a year into release, and the UI still doesn’t load properly, but the store UI loads fast and is responsive, that alone informs me where their priorities are, and it’s disgusting.
This whole game revolves around, buy stuff, buy stuff, buy stuff, meanwhile addressing and fixing the problems in the game are not being taken seriously, but we are constantly reminded that the health of their employees comes first, and so don’t get on their case about releasing a bad product, the game is not bad, the fans are.
As 343 has stated, it’s the fans of Halo that are the problem, that’s why they need a whole new player base, preferably one that does not care about quality, and most of the fun is derived from buying cosmetics.
I don’t think it’s working out the way they intended, because they are unable to even retain the new player base, but hey, once the COD fans get their BR, everything Halo will fade away. Just a reminder, remember the TV series, can you say generic, that’s where this game franchise is headed, the big garbage pile of generic games, just pick one, there are all the same.
