So, if anyone has noticed, The Halo series has had a release every year for the past three years (2010: Reach, 2011: Anniversary, 2012:4.
So, what do you think we can expect to get Halo wise this year. I realise 343 probably have their hands full with castle map pack and the next seasons of spartan ops, but if we do get a standalone release this year, what do you think it would be? Halo 2 Anniversary is probably possible, but, who knows.
Weaker sales if this trend continues
I’m hoping Halo Wars 2 will be a launch title for the new Xbox and hopefully it could have keyboard/mouse compatibility.
I think they should hold off on releasing halo for another year so that when it does come out they’d have spent more time improving the game.
That being said even if it was a, “10/10, GOTY, IGN APPROVES, THIS GAME IS REVOLUTIONARY”. Someone is still going to find something to complain about.

Ha, couldn’t agree more with you there mate.
Halo 2 anniversary will probably be the next title to be released. I’m thinking 2014, though. I’d rather have a significant TU for 4 than a whole new game this year anyway.
I really hope they don’t release another game this year, even if it’s just an expansion like ODST or Halo CEA.

well, it will not be a new Halo game this year… Next year i guess we see a HD remake of Halo 2 (10 years anniversary)… Halo 5 could be out in the end of 2014 too. But no Halo game in 2013.
I don’t understand this, why are you counting DLC and re-makes? ODST was meant to be a DLC for Halo 3. CEA was a re-make, hardly a new title.
CE = 2001
Halo 2 = 2004
Halo 3 = 2007 (ODST DLC = 2009)
Halo Reach = 2010 (CEA = 2011)
Halo 4 = 2012
Main-line Halo games tend to follow the three-year trend. All the other games and such are mostly bonuses and distractions that were meant to enhance the experiences of the current main-line game (ODST was originally to be DLC; CEA included many remade classical maps for Reach).
They should not and will not release a Halo game this year, as we don’t want oversaturation of the product. 3 years between main games is an absolutely perfect wait time, while only one, possibly two side-line games should come out during the trilogy’s life. Heck, I’d be fine with three side-games if they did something like this:
-H2 Anniversary
-Halowars2/redefining the Console RTS
-Halo 5 (or) 6: Sangheili (Taking ODST’s concept and applying it to a game dedicated to our favorite baddies)
