Whats missing?

Okay just some food for thought. I love what Infinite has teased and I am very very eager to play it like everyone. This post isn’t meant to take the piss out of it.

with that said…

What do you guys think we will or could possibly be missing from the game at launch?

if it be a simple UI piece or a massive chunk of lore or content we are familiar with. Not talking what we know and dont know but what we think. For example could we not see firefight coming at launch if at all? Or forge coming at a later date? Im curious to know what you guys DONT have your hopes up for to hopefully let the devs know what we want further

some other examples that im kinda speculative of would be the flood, medicate bias, or the primordials despite zeta halos history

Forge mode is outsourced so im not sure if it will come out at release. Flood… i wasnt even thinking about them. How many test subject did the forerunner need :D?

I think the only real thing missing that should be there is the Prometheans. I get that a lot of people don’t like fighting them, but 343 is getting close to ‘perfecting’ them the same way Bungie drastically improved the Flood by Halo 3. I really hope the Prometheans aren’t scrapped entirely for the sake of shoehorning the Flood or some new faction into the game. They’re essentially 343’s only contribution to the enemy pool, and it’d be a shame to not see them expanded on further.

With REQs gone, I hope they find a way to implement something akin to Warzone: Firefight.

Is this known? I thought the same Forge team from Halo 5 is working on this… I wouldn’t want anyone else to be in charge since they really nailed it and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store

The Forge was also outsourced to another game development studio in Halo 5 as well. Their name is Skybox Labs and they are also making the Forge Mode for Halo Infinite as well.

This is dope to find out. Had no idea. Just means more focal points to really balance the dev cycles. I am curious if they are near final product for launch of not

Judging by the sound of the recent showcase the outlook doesnt look so good but you never know for small things like xp boosts

Im sure campaign will at the minimum touch base on them if not have a final encounter. But this is how most infustries work when they are dished out backlash. They scrap and go to scratch a new innovative idea.

Believe me im too damn “hopeful” of the idea

As much as I hated fighting them, I have to agree… with a caveat.
The Prometheans were designed to fight the Flood, so there better be an actual battle between the two. At least let us use Promethean weapons against the Flood to see how effective they are compared to the rest of the arsenal. Otherwise, what’s the point of having the Promethean’s backstory even tied to the Flood in the first place?
That being said, if the game doesn’t have Flood in them, there’s no point from a gameplay perspective to bring back the Prometheans either. Goodbye and good riddance.

I think that Firefight and the Flood have the highest possibility at not being launch. Maybe less so Firefight, I think we’ll see that there, but as far as the Flood go, I think they should have their very own expansion and not be tied to the base Campaign. I don’t want to take away from the Banished as a new faction just yet. I highly doubt mendicant bias will make an appearance, Isn’t he currently on the San Shyuum homeworld??

BRO!

this is literally what ive theorized ever since announcement of Zeta Halo setting.
I doubt the base campaign will show them but if this is the Halo for years to come that they plan to utilize all decade, then an expansion campaign DLC will prob ship out around them. Very eager to find out.

An expansion dlc for the Flood would do them justice. New Campaign to play through, changes to the UI like you see in other live-service season games, and the introduction of Infection, Outbreak (Flood Firefight), and Gravemind, which is essentially a linear, objective based Flood mode. Drop in via pods in the middle of a Flood breeding ground, clear room after room with every enemy at Legendary difficulty, and get to the Proto-Gravemind. Plant a bomb, and run to extraction where a pelican is waiting to pick you up. Shared lives, weekly challenges and bonuses for making it out without dying.
New Flood based maps, a new weapon, a new vehicle, a new Armor Core. It would be absolutely incredible and i’d argue to say it’s inevitable with Halo Infinite being a soft reboot of sorts.

I can see that as a flood created mode assuming forge is as crazy ambitious as they say its gonna be.
But its also to similar to other games out there that involve zombies. I def would play the crap out of it if it was made. I for one still want a horror flood game or a ODST battle royale.

I’d say that Halo has things that normal Zombie games dont. Flood are, unlike zombies, unpredictable. They can not only sprint but jump too, as well as use vehicles and weapons. That’s far more horrifying than any zombie game if you ask me!
Gravemind mode and Outbreak would look good next to BTB i’d say

I agree. Imagine the BTB 2.0 mode and after grabbing an objective and just as your about to either reach the end or about to hop in a vehicle you get bombarded by an armada of flood or periodically your base gets overrun and you have to defend it. Kinda like procedural dynamic ever changing weather.

I’d rather have something akin to Warzone 2.0 that incorportated PvE Flood encounters and PvP elements as well. Imagine two teams, one bomb in the center. Also in the center is a crapton of very angry, Legendary difficulty Flood that spawn very rapidly. That’d be some intense Assault

I could see some multiplayer modes missing and maybe even forge. With it being FTP from day one, multiplayer is going to be buggy with the amount of people loading into different games. I’ll probably be sticking to the Campaign for the first day if that’s the case

ya i can imagine 343/microsoft dropping the ball and not anticipating the amount of players comin in first hand.
