After Halo 4 ended and he took his Armor and everything off, what did he do next? Is he just chilling on a beach, hanging around on the infinity, or is he back in cryo till they need him again?

My first bet would be sleeping his -Yoink- off. I mean he’s had like no down time in between the battles from 1-3 and now he gets home from 4…the man has got to be exhausted both mentally and physically.

well Spartan Ops takes place 6 months after halo 4 campaign, so either halo 5 happens around that time space, or just set a while after
in the meantime the Chief is likely sitting at home with a couple of Cheeky Bevs

Chief is done with halo, he’s ditched his armour for he eggheads to play with. We’ve seen his eyes, they are tired and weary. He saw the state of multiplayer and decided enough was enough, once done with the campaign he was having no part in anymore if it.
You might see someone in halo 5 who looks like Master Chief but it ain’t really him, the real one left and the new one is just a stand in so -Yoink!- can milk the Halo name a bit more. Even Cortana figured death was better then Halo 5.

So after Microsoft admitted that the franchises “lost its way” with ODST and Reach, you expect them to immediately get rid of the titular protagonist of the Halo series?
