So I was thinking they keep showing the Arbiter, but what will his role in gameplay be? Will be playable? It wouldn’t surprise me if they kept something on that scale a secret giving us something to find and be surprised by, like what Bungie did with Halo 2, and the second player being the Arbiter in Halo 3. What are your thoughts?
I would like to leave miss the elites in both campaign and in fighting arena.
I wish he was playable, but I sincerely doubt it :(. I think 8 playable characters is enough for them. He seems to be pretty integral to the plot however

It will play an important role in the campaign. At this stage it is unlikely that he is going to die.

He’s going to lead the Swords of Sanghellios, which will probably play a major role in Halo 5’s campaign seeing as Locke went to the Arbiter for help with getting John back.
He’s leading an alliance, the Swords of Sanghelios, against the last of the Covenant to help get Fireteam Osiris to Chief and the Guardians.
Probably not playable, but he actually has a pretty big role in terms of importance in the story.
He plays a significant roll but I very much doubt he’s playable.

He has an entire interstellar empire to lead, he has no place in small squad-based tactics.
Highly doubt he will be playable but i think he will be in a lot of cutscenes and playing a major role with him leading the new covenant
I still hope we get an expansion with Arbiter as the lead.

Looks like he’ll have a leadership presence and be on the ground. Thank goodness 343 didn’t turn him into the coward who hides in his fortress like in Thursday War.
