I just wanted to make this thread because im kinda nervous about Halo 4. 343i is a new developer, and they haven’t proven themselves yet. They also said there is gonna be new changes to multiplayer and Frankie said the music is going to be completley differant from the first trilogy.
So tell me guys, what do you think Halo 4 is going to turn out to be?
I’m scared…
Not worried in the slightest. Remember that they said they had to cut things because even though they were fun, they weren’t HALO-fun. They’re looking at everything ever so carefully. There are always new changes to multiplayer. Don’t be so worried when you haven’t even seen any gameplay. I think they proved themselves with Anniversary and the TU. They are listening to us. They know what we want and know what we don’t. I have an abundance of faith in 343i.
I have faith in 343i, especially Frankie himself (god).
they said something like that the new music director was still gonna recognize marty o’donnels work and will follow in his steps, so i assumed halo 4 will still have a similar style to the first trilogy
Yeah, some changes are for the better. I just hope they absolutley nail the gameplay in Halo 4. Halo 3’s was spot on IMO. I know its not gonna be exact, but I do hope its similar.
I plan to do some good old-fashioned fence-sitting until I’ve played the game; until then (or until we see more of the game), I won’t (and, really, can’t) form an opinion one way or the other. Not a very exciting stance, I know, but definitely the safest one.

Same, I have faith the Frank wont allow anyone to magle the Halo formula until it’s un-noticable, but I have noticed he’s seemed a bit snoody ever since he’s been with 343 (just my opinion).

I’m not trying to offend anyone, but just from the videos and interviews of him i’ve seen, he just has a different vibe then he use to.

No, I’ve already met my quota for that

No doubt he’s under a lot more pressure now as Development Director, and his newfound importance may also be colouring the way in which he reveals information; there’s always an element of privilege and a sense of “I know something you don’t” when one is sitting on such a valuable intellectual property. God knows I’d feel the same way.
Im not nervous at all, id say im really quite excited.
343 is new and have not proven themselves yet but thats what i think will make this game great. I think that since they have alot to prove they will put even more work into it to make it great, whereas a proven company may be more worried about profits than creating a truly great game. Im not saying Bungie does/would do this if they were still at the helm, but weve all seen companies like IW milk the CoD series, after they have proven themselves the companies get lazy because they know that the name of the game alone is going to make them money.
I believe that handing the torch to 343 was good decision. Lets hope im not wrong.
