Ranking system is confirmed but all we have so far is that while we will have visible ranks, only you can see them. Randoms cannot view your rank.

I believe Frankie stated the hidden ranks system was an example of something they were considering as an option. According to him, MM is still a WIP so nothing is finalized.
A hidden ranking system has not been clearly confirmed.
