For a company supported by a multi billion dollar software and hardware industries they’re realy bad at maintaining Xbox most iconic game.

But hay. Purchasing some cat ears will make it all better.

player population is hitting record levels of low. The game is trying to match your MMR against others, with a low pool of available options to do so, before checking all the available servers for connections within 20-220ms ping limits.

Then its probably popping up telling you there are no players available in that hopper. Cancelling search.

As it stands, for anyone outside of the United States, It seems Infinite is largely unplayable atm. Check out minty blitz or Sean W’s videos on the matter. It seems that the focus on providing matches currently only caters to the US player base- as anyone outside of the region must now ping a US server, just to find a game and maintain that regions player population.

If they hadn’t of created the “ping US server” thing, and players were still able to geo filter for games in their region- this would be a lot worse right now.

I don’t get it either because most of the “new” things 343 has brought to the Halo franchise were taken or reused from other video games, like ground pound, spartan charges, grapple shots, F2P models etc… while they were at it, they should have at least copied the other successful online games networking strategies too.

It did actually.

It really did.

Don’t think it’s just 343 though I’m having the same problem with Doom Eternal as well

I don’t know about the people in charge of Doom but does 343 even knows if there’s a server outage problem
